So a friend of mine was informed that her ex may have been cheating on her and got someone pg. Can anybody tell me approx. how many weeks gestation the baby in this u/s is?

I'd say 12-14weeks

That would be indicative of a BIG ol' cheater cheater pumpkin eater! I'll have to remind her that she broke up with him for a reason!!

Wouldn't they have given the mom-to-be the approx EDD/gestational age? Or is she not sharing that info? I'm just wondering how you were able to get a copy of the u/s pic but not know the woman's due date.

Good luck! But remember that the gestational age is still based on the mom's last period, so subtract two weeks or so for the time of conception. Right?

Anyway, wish your friend our sympathies! And doesn't it suck that people who don't want babies get one with one shot and those of us who want them can't conceive in over a year of trying?! What's up with that?!

It's really hard to date it based on the pic, babies grow at different rates. My LO was really clear at 12/13 wks, but others I've seen on my DDC are unrecognisable.

What a situation for your friend to be in. Poor thing

It looks like 14-ish weeks to me, but it's hard to be sure. Too bad they don't have the length on there because that would be a better indication.

Well, if she only broke up with him 7 weeks ago, then I'd say he was definitely cheating. Even if he got her pregnant the day after they broke up, the baby wouldn't be that developed at 7 weeks right? I googled 7 week ultrasounds and none of them really even look like a baby yet. You can tell where the head is but definitely not arms and legs like this ultrasound. I'm sorry your friend has to deal with this.

I would guess around 13ish weeks....Much more developed than my 10 week u/s, but not as developed at my 16 week one...

I'd say 11/12 weeks... I had one at 11 and 13 weeks and it looks to be between that time.

I'm going with the others- definitely over seven weeks, probably under 13 or so. I so feel for your friend. Poor thing.. give her a huggle for me.

I think that baby looks a tad more developed, maybe 11 weeks.

If they broke up 7 weeks ago and he got a girl pregnant right then, it would be 7 weeks from conception, so add two weeks onto the date (because they go from last menstrual period), which brings you to 9 weeks. So the question is, does the baby look like it is 9 weeks gestation or under? I think it looks further than that.

Either way, how heartbreaking for your friend.
