I know that a few of you were asking about what I had planned for boy names
My husband and I thought about it a lot, and there is one name that really stands out that we both like.
What do you think of the name Toby? I've only told two of my friends about the name Toby....one friend liked it and the other one didn't. I am very cautious to tell my family, but I wanted to share it with you guys. Toby is a Hebrew name, and it means "G-d is Good". And I think that that sums up how I feel about my little guy Toby is the familiar name for "Tobin" or "Tobius", but we were thinking of just "Toby". Although I do like Tobin too What do you all think?

I like Toby! Actually, to be honest I think I like Tobin better, then Toby as a nickname. JMO though! Either name is very nice.

My dog (who lives with my mom... so I guess he's not 'my' dog anymore ) is named Toby! He's the best! We have all sorts of nicknames for him... you'd be surprised how many nicknames come out of Toby... I call my dog Woberson all the time! (Toby Woby = Woby = Woberson... I think that's how that happened.)

Awwww, thanks girls, I'm pretty sure I will stay with Toby.....although I am a little indecisive over whether his "official" name should be Tobin (for when he grows up and maybe doesn't want to be referred to as Toby?) and then everyone would pretty much call him Toby. My husband wants to stay with Toby, and it probably will, but I'll talk it over with him some more. I'll refer to him as Toby on the message board from now on. Thank you for the support, it means a lot!

I love Toby! I like Tobin as well. It's a good option but just Toby is fine too.

Toby's a cute name! I like your thinking of perhaps using Tobin as the full name and Toby for short but I think Toby can stand on it's own if you choose not to.

I like toby as a nickname but I like Tobin better for a real name. I can picture Toby as a a cute little kid, I just can't picture Toby as an adult name. But I love the meaning behind it-and I think you should go with what every you guys like.
