I switched to a new obgyn recently. If we were still TTC it was supposed to be a fertility consult as well, but I am no longer TTC, but she was still willing to look into some things for me. It turns out I have something called MTHFR disorder, one of my alleles is + for it. I just started researching, but from what I understand my body doesn't properly absorb folic acid, and I also have an increased risk for blood clots, which explains the later loss and the repeat miscarriages. But there are ways to treat this. I always knew I had issues with absorbing vitamins and supplements, and also have low iron, so this makes a lot of sense. So glad I found a doctor who checked for this!
For the longest time, my doctor summed it up to lupus, I have systemic lupus, or bad luck, but now I have an actual, REAL, reason. I feel really relieved about this, actually! I KNOW what probably led to my miscarriages, and how to treat my next pregnancy. I don't have a follow-up until february, where I am on BCP's until then, but I am sure we will discuss it further. Next time I'm pregnant, I'll have a plan.
Just wanted to share, I am just a lurker here now, no desire to date or look for love at all these days....but you never know....

Just you know there are other ladies who are going through the same thing.... 2 girls from TTC#1 have MTHFR disorder. Their member names are Doodah and Babybird. Doodah just got diagnosed few days ago.. Babybird got diagnosed while back. She knows a lot about it. Perhaps you could PM babybird aka April and ask her about it? Tell her I referred you.
I'm glad you found out the reason what's the cause of M/C.

It must be a relief to actually have an answer, even if it is simply for future use... and I believe you will "use" it in the future.
P.s. Happy Birthday to gorgeous Ella!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's always a really good feeling to have answers, even if the answers are difficult to absorb. I'm glad that there is treatment available, that's a really great OBGYN that you have.

It is great you have answers, and that it is treatable. I applaud you for seeking answers out, even though you aren't TTC right now
