Follow up Ultrasound

Well, Tuesday I had a follow up ultrasound! I was 8 weeks 6 days and the baby's heartbeat was 176! She gave us pictures but we don't have a scanner so I can't show them off to you

She said everything looked great but there was a little bit of old blood next to the baby's sac (which she said is totally normal) and I may have some spotting that comes from it - or my body may absorb it back...I also had my pap smear appointment today and she said my cervix is very low and to avoid positions that make DH point at my stomach (ie: no doggy style lol) So, for the rest of my pregnancy, he will have to be on top! She also said she saw a little bit of blood from scraping my cervix so to expect some spotting. So far (and it's been 6 hours since my appointment) I haven't had any spotting at all. So I guess we will see

I have been having alot of cramps and felt really sick to my stomach for a few hours this afternoon. Just thought I would update

Well, it appears all is going well and your appointment was pretty good. I hope that there's no spotting. I understand about the old blood, etc but no blood is the best thing to me.

Thats great!!! Congrats for a great appt. What a great doc you have to warn you about spotting and all.

Can't wait to see pics of your LO

I don't like our scanner so I always have taken pics of the u/s pic and then posted on photobucket... just a thought

That is so nice that you know ahead of time about the spotting, at least you know you don't have to worry if you start spotting!

I know nothing about all the medical stuff, but it sounds like the baby's healthy. I can't wait to see pics!

Yeah Sarah - great news!!! You need to figure out a way to post those pics of the bean - we need to see!!!! I go for my follow-up today as well....I'm hoping to see a baby and a heartbeat today - I had the same experience as you did at my first one three weeks ago - I should be getting close to 8 weeks so there should be something there......!!!!!
