I'm a side-sleeper... mostly on my left side, always have been. I turn onto my right side through the night and back to left/right/left, etc.

But when i lie on my side, I'm more forward than simply on my side, when I lie on my left, my left leg is straightened, my right is bents slightly...

If I'm leaning more forward... is it possible to squash the baby?? I'm very conscious this is my natural comfy position but I'm terrified I'm squashing jellybaby

The reason I ask, last Sat/Sun morning I woke up in my typical left side, forwardy type position and the baby was going absolutley mad!! I got a fright thinking he/she was squashed.

Baby is well cushioned. Your body will tell you (thru discomfort) if you need to change positions. No worries! If baby is able to "go mad" then obviously he's fine!

I'm curious too- I lay half on my belly and with a pillow under my leg or between my legs. But I've wondered about squishing the baby

I love you girls so much. I feel better now lol! Thanks for replying! I think I'm going to have to start with the pillow between my legs thing. However I find a pillow is too bulky. Maybe a towel or something would be ok.

I did think, if baby is moving, he/she is obviously fine, but then I couldn't help but wonder if he/she was panicking from being squashed!

When your belly is more covered what jellybean hears from outside the womb is more muffled...so she/he could just be moving around tons because they can hear your heart so much clearer

Haha he was probably annoyed because you were taking up some of his space and he had to move over

The other ladies are right, you will feel uncomfortable if you're in a bad position. Like if I accidentally roll over onto my back at night I always wake up even out of a sound sleep!
