I was woken up this morning at around 7am... in AGONY!!!

CRAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy cow my right calf was so cramped up!! All I could mutter was "oooooooooooooh ooooooooooooooooooooh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ooooooooooooooooooh"

DH woke up going "omg are you in labour".... "ooooooooh oooooooooooh ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

DH starts panicking... WHAT'S WRONG!!!!!!

CRAMPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

DH: "Oh is that all, stretch it out"... he rolled over and went back to sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My calf muscle is so sore today How do you deal with cramp? I know as soon as it starts you're supposed to stretch the opposite way, but I literally could not move my foot in order to do so!

I've had that alot, worse in pregnancy. My dad always suggested a glass of ice cold milk, donno why. Also to help prevent them start eating some banana's In swim team when we'd get them our coach would rub on either side of the cramp(not on the cramp) to help it loosen.

That's only the 3rd time i've ever had it... all 3 have been in this pregnancy. But that was def the worst!! I've been very careful how I turn over in bed to try and avoid as I'm terrified of the pain Sure brings you out of a deep sleep quickly

Since you had the full onslaught of it, you'll have to keep massaging it for a few days until it gets better. If you get up with a feeling like it's coming on, stretch your foot out to the max and that should prevent the muscles from contracting or try to stand up. I generally find that it's harder to stand up when I feel like its coming on so I just straighten my leg out to all and point my toes down. I don't know if it will work for you but that beats mine every time.

There pretty common in the 3rd trimester. Eat some bananas (potassium) and milk (calcium) will help plus tons of water-for dehydration, your now far enough along that if you get dehydrated it can start your labor and if your dehydrated labor is harder! So I know I have been nagging you for ohhhhh 8months but DRINK MORE WATER!
oh and post cramp using a heating pad and do some gentle massage-NO deep pressure massages on your calfs though because about 4 inches below your knee is a pressure point that can start contracting your uterus--and we need to keep your bun in the oven longer! And next time kick DH with the good leg and have him pull you toes toward your calf to stretch it out. (try not to point your toes-this will make it worse).
Now with all that said---did you happen to have heels on with that dress the other night at your party? I would be in nothing but flats for the rest of your pregnancy missy.

Oh man, you just reminded me that is yet to come LoL! I got that SOOOO bad in my 3rd trimester when I would be sleeping. I'm sorry Fi!! I had no real way to deal with it other then to drink a lot of milk (which I always do, it's my fav LoL) but it didn't do much. I'd try bananas and drink more water like Angela said, I know I sure will

I've had it a couple times but only if I happen to turn on my back and was sleeping flat for a bit. I can get rid of it in a jiffy now so it's not like the first couple times I had it. I remember the excruciating pain the first 2/3 times I had it.

NOTHING got them to stay away....I'd eat bananas and sometimes It would work but It would only cut how many I got not take them away. I would just massage the crap out of my leg and It would go away. Surefire thing to do is get out of bed and walk around. It hurts so much to do it, but it gets rid of leg and foot cramps. For me laying in bed and stretching or massaging doesn't help at all. You gotta walk it off! I so do no look forward to getting these.
