Yesterday, my mom and I baked cookies at her house for 5 hours! Ha, ha we made 8 different kinds!

My mom was so excited and kept saying how much fun she was having. It was a great time, especially when we got to sample the goods!

Then I got to bring all the cookies back home for storage in the freezer, so I took a bunch to give to our new neighbors. Then when Scott got home from work we went over to deliver them and meet our neighbors--very nice!

No pics (sorry!) but we made: sugar cookies, toffee-almond cookies, fruit n' nut brittle, pumpkin pie bars, choco-orange pomanders, ginger snaps, caramel shortbread, and mixed fruit shortbread. Several recipes were from the new Food Network Magazine and Rachael Ray's magazine. Yum-o!

Can you send some to Barbados for me? They all sound so yummy and you've got me here craving cookies now.

Different choc chip or different cookies because I got a peanut butter cookie reciepe that even men can do!
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup peanut butter (smooth -I use jiff or skippy)

mix one egg and sugar, then add pb. Roll into 12 balls (this is the perfect size) put on tray, flatten a little with hand-use a fork for some cool marks. Bake about 10 min at 350....your done! (10 min is high altitude so i may be a little more or less depending on where you live)

Somebody slap me! I ate like a dozen cookies yesterday! (drool) Everytime I passed through the kitchen, I thought, "Oooo, cookies! Maybe I'll just sneak one!" I can already see the bottom of the cookie jar--oops!

only one dozen--well thats not bad! I think my worst cooking moment is when I made a batch of choc chip cookies and ate ALL the dough instead of cooking it---it was like 2 dozen cookies worth---and yes i did have some next day side effects from that much uncooked egg! LOL

those are Chris' favorite PB cookies! I made them for him a few months ago when you first posted it, and they are already on the list for this weekend!
