Where did/will you buy your nursery furniture from?

The nursery has become my interest lately. Starting to pick out colors, theme, decorations, etc. There are so many choices. Obviously, Babies R Us has furniture. But have you found good deals other places? We have alot of us ladies due in the next few months, so I'm sure it's on alot of our minds.

Have you started the nursery? Will you wait until baby is born? Are you "making" decorations or accent pieces?

We are gonna be buying ours from babiesrus because they have good furniture for prices we can afford.

Once we get back from our honeymoon, we are gonna start the task of seperating our living room and putting up a divider and moving all the stuff we have into the "babies room" cause its overtaken my draws and closet lol.

Our furniture is homemade, Nic's grandfather made the crib and cradle we are using. Our dresser/changing table combo came from Babies R US because it's the only place we could find around here and I didn't feel comfortable ordering one offline.

Our bedding set is also from Babies R Us. We're making the accent pieces and buying little things here and there as we come across them.

I bought all of our nursery furniture from JC Penney. I LOVE our crib and dresser. The quality is very good and the price was not bad. Everything I saw at BRU seemed cheap to me. I looked for a long time before making up my mind.

We bought our crib from a store in the Minneapolis area - USA Baby (I'm not sure if that's a national chain or not) - they carry a ton of different brands. Ours says "Cocoon" on it, but I am thinking that's not the brand name. In any case, it's very sturdy and we plan to use it for future kids, too.

Our changing table we actually just ordered from Wal-Mart, it is so cheap but it doesn't LOOK or FEEL cheap and it actually matches our crib really well!!

You can kinda see both in this pic.

I started on and finished our nursery before Ben arrived (of course, he was a surprise, so we made it gender neutral!) and I'm glad I did...those first few weeks were overwhelming and due to various reasons, we ended up moving him to his own room way sooner than I thought we would have (and now we ALL sleep better because of it) and it was just nice having it all done and ready to go for him.

I swear, shopping for baby bedding was soooo fun. I already knew I wanted the above set, but it is just super fun to browse through babysupermall.com and look at all the cute sets that are out there!

We didn't buy any of our nursery furniture. It was all given to us at the baby showers.

We purchased our crib from Walmart. It was actually sold at Babies R Us but it was 50 bucks cheaper at Walmart. That's all the baby furniture we bought. We'll be using it again this time too.

I haven't bought bedding and wont until I know baby's gender. I'll use Curtis' bed set (it is gender neutral as he was a surprise) and then we'll purchase one of the two sets I have picked out. The sets I like are from Walmart.

It's not more expensive from what I saw. You won't be able to see it before buying but it's nice furniture! We got solid wood. I'm sure it depends on what set you buy. There are reviews on JC Penney for a lot of their nursery furniture.
