So I went in today for my weekly appointment/NST thing and my BP was not awesome, but not horrible either. It was mostly hovering in the 140s ish over 80 ish range, which is still not normal for me. Anyways I told the doctor how crappy I've been feeling, and that I can tell my hands and face are swelling up pretty bad. Also I gained 7 lbs in a WEEK, which is totally not normal and has to be mostly water weight.

So the doctor called the hospital that I will have to deliver at, which is NOT the one I want but apparently the one I thought I was going to doesn't do high risk people , anyways he wants me to be seen over there until I will most likely end up being induced early. He was talking about inducing me at 37 weeks again, which would be THIS FRIDAY and I'm really nervous. I don't know if the doctors at MCG will say differently though, they may want me to wait it out a little more. He said pretty much I am going to develop pre-e again, we just don't know when and it could be sudden. If I have to be induced I would honestly rather do it before I get super sick too, because I went through that last time and it was pretty miserable and I would really rather not do it again.

So we'll see what happens, they are going to be calling me with an appointment date at MCG and I will update again after I talk to the doctors over there. I'm kind of freaking out here because I feel like I have so much left to do before the baby gets here!

******
I got a call from the doctor this morning saying they want me to come back in tomorrow afternoon for an NST because they are having scheduling problems with the other hospital. He wants me to do a 24 hour urine starting today, so I just went and picked that up. So we should have those results back by the end of my appt tomorrow and if it's worse then they will induce me at 37 weeks. (probably friday)
I have an ultrasound tonight too that was scheduled last week, so I guess it's good timing because we'll get an estimate on the baby's weight and everything. I'm not really worried about it because Aden was born at 37 weeks and she was just fine. But being induced and having magnesium and a catheter and everything....not awesome.

Wow Katie!!! You just take care of yourself, the baby things will sort out, I'm sure friends and family will help with that. As long as you have your hospital bag stuff and a car seat, you'll be just fine. OMGosh, this friday!!! (maybe). Please KUP!!!

oh geez girl. I hope they say you can wait it out a little longer. Just rest up, keep your feet up, drink your water... and try not to stress. Soon enough you will be holding your baby, just hopefully not that soon

Take care and KUP

I'm trying to relax but it's so hard when I keep thinking of all this stuff I need to do!!! I just realized today that I need to buy socks for the baby...kind of random. But I'm going to wal mart tomorrow to get socks and a pack of newborn onsies, we don't have many newborn size clothes so if he does come within the next week or two I want to be prepared just in case!

Thanks ladies

I looked up the normal urine protein levels for pregnancy and it said under 300....mine from last week was 264, and I bet it's worse now because I feel worse.

My doula is coming over tomorrow morning so we can make a birth plan! Hopefully they call me tomorrow with an appointment time so I don't have to sit here wondering what's going on.

I'm sorry that you're having to deal with all of this, Katie. It really sucks.

But hey! Friday is my birthday and I think that is a GREAT day to have a baby!

^ haha thanks Kate

Well the nurse who was supposed to be getting me an emergency consult at the other hospital called and said that they were faxing my records and that I NEED to go in. She said if I have a headache and vision changes and stuff I shouldn't wait and it's better to be safe than sorry. I really don't want to spend all day in L&D today (or possibly the night too) so I am going to eat lunch and try and take a nap and if I feel the same this afternoon I'll take my jug of pee with me and go in because I do feel totally crappy right now.

Katie - Will you still try for a natural med free birth if you are induced?

I decided not to go in....I just slept for 2.5 hours and I can't really tell if I feel better or not because I'm still groggy. But I doubt they would do anything until they get the results of my 24 hour anyways and I don't really feel like being in the hospital for a week like I was last time!

I'm still going to try using hypnobabies. It just sucks because I won't just have to be induced, I'll have to have medication for my BP and a catheter in which means I won't be able to get out of bed the whole time But my doula will be there so hopefully the hypnosis does the trick, I definitely want to get through it without the epidural.

Oh, I hope you are still able to do hypno-birth! Especially after being on TV about it!!! You and baby will be in my thoughts and prayers! Good luck!
