OK, so my sister's "latest" due day is January 3rd. I am going to be in the delivery room with her. When I call to see how she/Nicholas are doing, she seems annoyed that she keeps have painful contrax every couple minutes for a while, then they stop. Which has me calling more to see how she's doing since her DH works all day.
But this morning, she was mad because I only checked on her once yesterday!!! "You're my sister and best friend. You should care more!"
Okkkkkkkkkk.... Sorry?? I don't want to annoy you!
Is this end-stage preggo talking? How would you handle it? She's the type where if I say "Call me if you need me" she'll say "I'm the big sister, I'll be fine"... ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!
Nicholas? Please come to play!!! Mama is sore and unhappy!!

Gosh, that must be difficult. Your poor sister (and you!)! I haven't really had to deal with that before, but my SIL was a little moody during her last 3 months or so. I am sure its just because she is so far along and due so soon, she may very well be tired, uncomfortable, etc... I am not 100% sure what I would do, I would probably just try to be patient with her and just agree with her for now and do as she requests (I guess). But it may be one of those situations where you aren't going to be right no matter what, which I am sure one day I will understand. Not sure if this helps....

Unfortunately, you probably just have to deal with it right now. The last few weeks of pregnancy are very hard--you're sore, uncomfortable, hot, tired, anxious, and pretty irritable. I remember the few days before I had Liam I called my last client of the day (2 year old triplets) and cancelled. Then before I headed home I just sat in my car and cried and cried because I was so sore and my hormones were through the roof.
Just remember though, it will be your turn one day and payback is a b!tch!!!

Awe the poor thing! It's for sure just hormones. She's probably exhausted if those contrax are keeping her up at night, irritable and just plain sick and tired! Painful contractions are most likely playing with her mind too! Getting her hopes up and shattering them
Just be there for her. She needs ya

I've not BTDT but I think it's just the pregnancy hormones at this point. Some ladies get very "antsy" at this point and she honestly may not mean anything by it or recognise that she was being harsh. I've read a lot of birth stories where persons relate to this.
Sorry you have to go through this but just try to be strong and take it all in stride. There's a possibility that it could get worst too.
Stay strong! (((HUGS)))

My friend is due just before new year and has had a few possible labour signs lately. She says everyone is driving her insane calling all the time even though they aren't calling often so yup.... sounds like preggo-mones! Just tell her you felt like you were pestering, but you will call if she wants you to, ask her how frequent she wants to talk to you and let her be the decider? Also if she decides to take a nap in the afternon then someone phones and it wakes her up or something like that, could make her a bit more cranky. Ask her what time is best or if she's gonna have a sleep to text you before so you wont disturb her?
