I have no voice , my throat hurts, my nose is stuffy, and I'm coughing up green junk. What medicine can I take while breast feeding? i have been drinking tea and all that type of stuff and it is just not helping! I really hope Landen does not get sick!!!

I don't know what to tell you. But if you go to earthclinic.com, you can read about lots of all natural cures for common ailments. Apple cider vinegar is a great remedy for sore throat: mix 2 tbsp vinegar with 1 tbsp honey and drink by the tablespoon (like a shot) to soothe sore throats. Take as needed. Good luck, I hope Landen doesn't get sick too!

Coughing up green gunk indicates a chest infection might be present, in which case - get to a doc ASAP so you can start treating before Xmas!

Sore throat - gargle with cooled boiled salty water (DO NOT swallow!), gargle and spit out - it's the best cure - I've had heaps of sore throats over the years and it's the best and fastet thing to clear it up.

And finally (((((((((((((huggles))))))))))))))))))

when it comes to snot and grossness yellow is usually ok, but green can be a sign of upper respiratory infection, and might require antibiotics. I was a big believer in guaifinesin with D, But i've heard people say they still don't trust it during breast feeding. (though i think it's a load of huey) But that only covers up the symptoms. Zinc cough drops can shorten the common cold though. Cough drops should help the throat too.

I will call the doctor on Monday! This is really nasty TMI but I'm an ex smoker and when I cough up the junk it tastes just like a Marlboro light

I hope you get in to the doc and start feeling better. I took antibiotics twice since BF and didn't want to. I had to do it just incase of an infection though.. Try to get some rest.. haha.. I know it's hard.

BTW.. how does Landon sleep at night? How many hours in a row? I'm still getting up at least 2 times per night. It's not that bad though.

Same here about 2 times a night to eat, he will sleep for 5 to 6 hours in a row. Its so much better then the first few weeks when he would wake up every 2 hours !!! I was starting to hallucinate at night lol, I thought their were 20 babies and I would wake Chris up and tell him to go get more mommies to help out with all these babies LOL!!! That is when I decided to co-sleep and as soon as I did he started only waking up twice!
