Well, I HOPE he is because I'm going in to be induced on Friday at 0530! I just had my weekly NST/appointment. My urine protein levels are still hovering at the very edge of acceptable, I still have a headache, I gained another FIVE pounds on top of the 7 from last week
So I will be exactly 38 weeks on Friday and as much as I didn't want to be induced, I would much rather just have to deal with the pitocin than wait until I get really sick and have to have magnesium and be bedridden with a catheter. I was worried about doing it naturally because of that, but I feel a lot better now knowing that I will actually be able to get up and move around if I need to.
And I'm really glad that I won't be in the hospital on xmas, because this is going to be our first really exciting xmas with Aden, when she can open all her presents and stuff!
I already talked to my doula, she'll be there and I just have to finish up my birth plan to give to the hospital. And my infant prefolds that I ordered should be here tomorrow, talk about last minute! I need to prep the darn things!!!!

You can do it Katie! Just keep reading the HB birth stories involving inductions, for inspiration. I'm glad you are getting ahead of the game before you do need Mag and get really sick. I can't believe you're having this baby!!! (Makes me nervous since we are so close together). Get those prefolds in the wash, and everything is going to go just fine. Have a wonderful Christmas with your DF and little girl!

I hope you have a FAST induction.. Mine lasted 32 hours and I was at 39 weeks and 1 day when I was induced (medically necessary). I pray your baby is locked and ready to go..
Make sure you ask if your baby is engaged in the birth canal! If not, your labor will end up like mine.. They weren't able to break my water due to the chance the cord will come out first.. At least if this happened to you, you know what to expect ahead of time and you can mentally prepare for the long road ahead..
Good luck!
