I called my OB today to just let her know of the fall I had down the stairs this weekend. Since I was having cramps she sent me to Labor and Delivery for monitoring. I was definitely NOT expecting that! The tech led me into a birthing room and left me to get the nurse. I started to cry. I've never been in a birthing room and it all just suddenly hit me! So far, I haven't given a second thought to the birth of this baby, but as I was staring at all the equipment, the baby monitoring/testing table, and sitting in the swiss army knife of a bed, I started to get very scared. They hooked me up for an hour monitoring baby's heart rate every time he moved, which was alot thankfully! The nurse said to me that she didn't want to seem insensitive but she didn't see why my OB sent me there. But for issues like that, if you're after 20 weeks, my OB wants you at L&D.
I've been in the hospital before for surgeries, but this time was certainly different. I seem to be dwelling alot on the delivery now.

I'm sorry that you had to go in under these circumstances. I'm so happy to hear that your baby was moving around just fine. Take care.

Glad baby was ok! Don't be scared of L&D and giving birth, it's really not too scary. Once you're in the moment you just focus and your body does what it has to and you go along with it. Promise it'll be just fine

Don't worry. You will do great once the time comes. It's nothing to be scared about. Take it from me! I'm glad everything is okay with you and your baby.

I'm glad you and baby are fine! And at least when you do go back in labor, you'll be desensitized to the whole environment.

Now, bean... you aren't allowed to scare your mama like that... at least not for another 15 to 16 years! Glad you're both ok!

I'm glad you and baby are just fine. Try not to be scared of labor. I know it's hard because the unknown is always a little scary. But trust me, if it was bad I wouldn't be trying to do it a third time!

I'm glad you are both ok. I haven't seen our hospital yet but understand your aprehension. I'm getting to that phase now. But I trust that my body will know what to do and my baby will birth just fine. It took me a while to get past that nervousness though. The last few weeks have been tough in that aspect for me.
It's like Jenn says, why would women have more than 1 baby if it was so horrendous

Glad all is well!
Yup I'm doing it again It's not that bad! Like hubby says "It's only a day or two of pain, then a life time of happiness"
It's SO worth it, trust us! hehe.

Glad you and your little guy are okay, Morgan. You'll do fine when it comes time to give birth...you'll be so excited to meet your prince that you won't be able to focus on anything else.

I'm glad everything checked out fine. I am starting to worry about about labor as well. I guess some about hoping for a natural birth but being afraid it won't happen and not knowing what will happen.
