Who else has them? They found two at my last ultrasound that they will be monitoring. One is on the top of my uterus and the other is near my cervix. Fun stuff.

ME ME ME. I have one they saw at my last ultrasound that is like hanging off the outside of my uterus - it's only about 1 cm so they are not really that worried about it. What did they tell you - did they seem unconcerned like my docs?

My doc is unconcerned too and just mentioned how rarely one near the cervix can grow in such a way that it blocks the cervix prohibiting vaginal birth. Mine are small though so she didn't think there was any chance of it happening since it is rare to begin with.

It still miffs me though So far my mom, an aunt and a cousin have all had hysterectomies from fibroid issues, and I am so not looking forward to that if it becomes a problem with me in the future. I was hoping since I had to deal with infertility, I could avoid all that! Poo!

What a bum deal! I hope it just winds up not being an issue at all!

Poo Michelle - i hope it doesn't become a big issue. You'll be in my prayers. I have no family history of it, nor did I have any fibroid when preggo with Harrison - so its all new to me but at this point I'm not sure its even going to matter at all.

Back when my quack-butt military doc thought I had a fibroid, I called to get a second opinion elsewhere and was told that VERY rarely does a fibroid in pregnancy become degenerative (causing pain or other issues requiring surgery). Don't know about the cervical fibroid, but it sounds like your OB is pretty laissez-faire about that anyway.
