We had our Christmas dinner at DHs parents... unbeknown to us until Christmas Eve, his sister/hubby and their daughter were coming along (they usually do but SIL was working on Christmas Day and so it was planned that they wouldn't come along, changed their minds last minute).
So i was really looking forward to it. I adore big family Christmas Day!! As DH & I arrived on Christmas Day... we were greeted by a SIL with the cold and a neice with chesty cough and horrendous cold....
Yup, you guessed it... I'm absolutely full of the cold and have a nasty cough. I'm so fed up of it. The cough started Sunday and the cold on Monday. I'm beginning to think I may have a chest infection with the horrid stuff I'm coughing up I feel so rotten. DH & I are both annoyed, if they'd told us they were sick, we could have made a decision to avoid their germs. My bump muscles are absolute agony with sneezing & coughing.
Bring on the huggles!!!

Oh, no! That's terrible! I hope you start feeling better really soon! I'm shocked they attended the function knowing they'd get everyone there sick as well. How irresponsible!

I only had a cold 3 weeks ago. I'm not one to get the cold often!
My MIL has it - she's 73yrs old... and before my symptoms appeared... DH & I went to visit my parents on Sat/Sun - mum has it. My mum has MS and the littlest bug or cold knocks her off her feet completely. I'm quite annoyed My MIL said SIL got antibiotics for a chest infection and is signed off work now.
Doc said, being so far preggy I could take any cough mixture from over the counter, but she said none of them really help at all, it's all a con! She said to stick to regular paracetmol to help with my temp and to drink as much as I can. I've been doing this anyway. Def have a fever, as I'm hot one minute and cold the next. Least I know I'm doing the right things. So so glad I'm on hols this week from work!! Due back in on Friday by which time I hope to be well on the mend.

Aww, I'm sorry Fi. ((huggles))
That is really irritating! People need to understand they should STAY HOME if they are sick. I get frustrated with sick people at work and shun them.

I had a much better sleep last night, altho I was very wheezy when I got up to the bathroom, took me forever to get my breath back. My nose is much better today and as long as I sip water, the cough is ok. I'm so glad cos my bump muscles are very achy.
I felt quite AF-y this morning and a bit crampy in my back but don't think it's anything to worry over.
