For those of you who remember my DH struggles when it came to setting a date to TTC.....you won't believe that this is the same man....
He wants another one already!!!
First of all, it warms my heart. I love that he loves being a daddy. He loves Reid SOOOO much. However, I am not even close to being ready for another one! haha. Maybe I'll be ready in a year, but even then, I don't know. I'm really enjoying Reid, and to be completely honest, it's a lot of work to have ONE baby!
Last night I was holding Reid and DH was just smiling at him. He says, "You know, I wouldn't mind another...." and I said, "Well yeah, we ARE going to have more than one..." and he just kind of stares at me. I say, "Wait, you mean, NOW??" and he just kind of smiles. So sweet....but so crazy! I don't even have AF back, so even if I did want to, my body isn't ready.

I remember you posted something like this in our Playroom a couple weeks back. I think it's very sweet of him to already want another baby so soon. But, I agree that it would be super fast to do it all over again and have two baby's so close in age. I can't imagine having twins!
I actually would love to be pregnant again but I want to enjoy alone time with Oliver for a couple years. Part of me wants to keep Oliver an only child because we would be able to afford to offer him so much more. But, I can't imagine never having another little baby. I guess time will tell. I don't think Damon will be as scared next time around!

Your DH is crazy! I was going to say something about how he only says that b/c he doesn't have to look after Reid a lot, but then I remembered that he does take care of him at least 2 days a week by himself, so he must just love being a family man! How many kids do you want?

Aww that's so amazing isn't it?! Andy was ready early like that and we compromised on trying when Taylor was 8 or 9 months old that way they'd be around a year and a half apart at the earliest and never thought it would happen the first month, all my doctors told me I'd be lucky if I ever even got pregnant! Having one is SUPER hard work and some days I think I'm insane for having my girls so close together but I keep telling myself it'll all come together in the end LoL. Anyway, that's totally sweet of him

That is so sweet of him!
Ian never wanted to have kids either, until we lost our first. Now he's just as excited as me about another one! Whenever we go out he always points out the cute babies and holds up adorable little newborn clothes for me to see. And it's always girl stuff--for someone so adament he only wants boys he sure seems to be drifting to the girly stuff!
Our boys are 19 months apart and while it was difficult the first couple months I wouldn't have it any other way. They love being brothers and play so great together (most of the time anyway). I did have some guilt right after I had Lochy that maybe we shortchanged Liam but I think he's all the better for having his little brother and having a friend so close in age. I can't wait to bring another little one into our family!!!

That's really sweet...
...but I think you're right about the NOT YET part!
I have a friend who recently had another baby so her kids are about 18 months apart and she said to me that one kid though challenging was easy but two is really hard and she's a SAHM. Change that to a full-time working mom and OMG!!! I also remember Kimberley's post from this morning. I agree with giving yourself a little time to enjoy Reid and then you can go again.
And Resi's right!! There's the financial part to think about too. I think you'll need to be ready mentally, physically and financially.

LOL, Michelle....DH is actually better at watching Reid all day than I am! I usually go and visit my mom for a friend when I have Reid all day, but DH is content to just hang out at home all day with him. He will also take Reid any time I need a break, or when Reid is fussy and it's stressing me out. He is so great!
And yeah, we definitely cannot afford another one- no way. I would HAVE to be a SAHM if we had another one in the near future. My DH used to be totally against the idea of me being a SAHM, but his thoughts on that have changed as well....and so have mine. I don't want to be a SAHM. It's just not for me. I would probably like working part time and staying home part time though, so that may be an option when we have more kids.
I always said that I wanted 3 or 4. Now I'm thinking 2, maybe 3

Awwww, that is super sweet! I think waiting a year is a good idea though, Aden was I think 15 months or so? when I got pregnant and the age difference is really good so far. She's not jealous of the baby or anything and she seems to be adjusting well.

That's sweet! My dh is the opposite. He begged me to allow him to get a vasectomy after every single kid! I'm finally letting him do it, lol.

That is so great! A little insane that he wants another right now but awesome.
My Dh wasn't nearly as into TTC as I was (he could take it or leave it) and I love seeing him get excited about our baby on the way.
