Hi everyone! I'm not sure how many of you remember me, as I haven't really been a part of the wttc forum in over a year-but I still remember some "faces" and was curious where everyone was in the ttc journey. My curiosity now sated, I figured I would post a quick update as I was checking all of the other updates out.
DH and I began ttc in July 2007; however, we weren't really trying (but of course not protecting) for about a year. I had started a new job, we moved and I was pretty stressed with getting things up and running. We didn't start seriously trying until June 2008. We knew that it might take awhile, as I have pcos. I really concentrated on getting healthy to help get pg. I began running about 3-4 miles a day (well-built up to it anyway) and lost 20 pounds...this helped to regulate my cycles and I also began to O on my own sporadically (which was an improvement). By September, we decided to seek medical help.
I began my first round of clomid in November. I also got in to see a really great fertility doctor. I feel very very fortunate to have such a well-known doctor/clinic so close to my house...it makes things that much easier. Anyway-my first round of clomid was successful...I ovulated and became pregnant. Unfortunately, I lost the little bean at exactly five weeks.
So-now I'm on to round two of clomid. I went in for an ultrasound today and the nurse told me I have one follicle that is almost mature and that I may have another (it was hard to tell). So-Sunday night I'm giving myself two Ovidrel (ovulation triggering) shots and will go in for an IUI on Monday...after that-it's just LOTS of BD'ing

Of course, I'm hoping this will be it-and we'll have a bean (or two) before too long...but I am learning the virtue of patience and can only hope that things will work out...
