It is heartbreaking. And I feel for women who have had a loss like that, I truly do. But at the same time I know I'd probably go crazy if I let myself lurk and think about it too much, kwim?

Michelle - you are not alone, I think most of us are all guilty of this and we just need to stay away from those boards, website, youtubes etc. I started reading websites about children who died from child abuse, and the loss of a child board - I don't know why - I started getting obsessed with something bad happening to my little guy - to him being scared, alone, in pain, etc. etc. I just had to turn off those thoughts, enjoy him every day and not get caught up in all that.
BTW - don't ever watch Open Water 2 now that you are preggo (or when you have a child) there are horrible parts where the baby is alone on the boat crying and all of the adults overboard cannot get to her even though they are right there outside the boat in the water....excruitiating.

I've peaked in there while I was pregnant too. Don't go back in there! It's very sad.

DO NOT GO THERE! I forced myself to avoid it like the plague while pregnant. Like Angela said, go read some positive birth stories, NOW!!! As a matter of fact, I'm almost done typing mine. Check back later and read it

I hovered in there when I first fell preggy. It's almost like it draws you in like a magnet - and I don't mean that in a bad way. It's very scary but also makes you very grateful for your beanie. I agree with Mari about the loss threads in the DDC, I had to stop myself from reading them early in my pregnancy as they are so scary, it can happen to anyone at any time.

Bad, bad idea....
I used to lurk there a bit before I was preggo, but knew once I was actually preggo that I had to stay out.
Don't do that to yourself Michelle!
