I need opinions please before I get artsy

So I bought wall letter from Michaels. I really wanted all big letters but they were sold out of N and R. But then I saw these smaller letters and I couldn't decide. If I choose all the big letters, I'll have to keep checking back at the store for restocking. Which do you like better?

Hmmm is hard to see the scale of how small the small letters are. Any chance you could take at least that picture again with something in the photo that is a universal size (like a CD)?

I think I would prefer letters of all the same height. I agree with not wanting to check all the time for new letters, are they in their online store? (The amount you would spend on shipping would probably be worth one or two trips to the store in gas depending how close you live.) Or maybe do all small letters and put a fun 'frame' of decoration around them so they don't get lost on the wall?

ETA: Also how big is the wall you are planning on putting them on? Specifically visible space of the wall, height of wall shouldn't include furniture that is blocking a portion of the wall since small letters on an 'empty' wall would look different than if they were above a tall dresser that didn't have a lot of vertical space. (Can you tell I am an engineer?)

I'm not sure of the scale either. But if you really want the big letters, can you talk to a manager at Michaels and ask them when they will have them back in stock? You never know, if you get a nice manager and tell them what you need and why, they might try to get it for you.

I like the font of the small letters better, but yea it would depend on how small they are/size of the wall.

The bigger ones are 8 in. The little ones are like 4 or 5.

We're putting them on the wall that only the crib will be.

I personally like the big letters but I'm probably bias because we did Conners name in all big letters (we got ours from Babies R US). I didn't know how much I would like it until we had them on the wall and now I think they look wonderful.

I think I prefer the letters all one size, so either all large or all small. I like the larger ones but not too keen on the font and the having to check back for the missing letters.

One thing I was thinking though is that you may be able to use character things (I don't know what you call them but they're wodden/plastic and you can stick/glue them to the ends/sides of the letters) to make the smaller letters more proportionate to the bigger one.

I do think however that depending on how you choose to use them (1st pic), they could turn out really well.

I prefer the capital letters. I think it looks kind of funny with the small. I got my letters at Michael's put go them in a unstained wood. They are about 6" - all capital letters. Damon spray painted them with an espresso finish.
