Ok so I KNOW that baby will suck what it needs off of me for nutrition first. But I need reminded of this from others who went through it. My eating is like not happening. Example of this week (I am taking my vitamins 98% of the time!)
Monday: can of beef stew, 3 bites of a crab/artichoke dip on bread
Tue/wed (i was on the plane and lost wed really): 2 bites of a panni, 2 little scoops ice cream, 5 bites veal, 1/2 cup of tomato soup, one bite of noodle soup, 1 apple
thur: 1 bite of sandwich, 2 egg omelet with cheese/ham, 4 bites of fruit.
fri: 1 cup mash potatoes with gravy, 1.5 slices of french toast, 1/4 cup of granola mix.
I'm a little queasy but not really sick, I'm just not hungry, I try to make myself eat and I end up getting sick! Nothing sounds good and if it does I'm full in a couple bites! As of Monday I was down 5lbs (which I know isn't bad) I'm sure I'm down more since then because my pants are getting lose.
But look at my calorie count! Its pathetic! I am ok with my water consumption and I don't have any signs of malnutrition but I just can't stop thinking I have eaten less this week then I normally do in a DAY.
Oh and on a WAY TMI note----DH had sex last night and he feels like he is "bottoming out" very quickly now (like only half in)--its not painful for me. I know my uterus should be the size of a grapefruit but I'm now nervous its falling down and I don't want to end up with a prolapsed uterus--I DO my kegals! (yep I'm over analyzing everything LOL) But I was wondering if anyone else had issue with DH not getting it in all the way while preggers?

Do not worry yourself over your food intake. I had HG with Lochy and therefore not only ate hardly anything but whatever I did eat/drink came right back up in a matter of minutes anyway. I lost almost 10lbs in one week (week 10 or 11 I think). Plus I was still nursing Liam at the time too. After Lochy took what he needed and Liam took what he needed it left me with virtually nothing so I was really the only one who suffered. Your bean will be just fine! Gaining weight was very difficult for me my entire pregnancy with Loch but he was a completely healthy baby and a nice size at 8lbs 5oz and 20.75 inches and I only gained 14lbs total. And this morning sickness will end--mine was gone by about 20-21 weeks and although it did come back the last month it was nothing like it was in the beginning. These babies, although very fragile, are also extremely resilient!
I can't help you as far as the sex thing goes. Ian and I don't have sex in the first trimester and really only a handful of times during my entire pregnancy. And that goes for every time I've been pregnant.
I hope your queasyness goes away and your appetite picks up if just for your own peace of mind.

I think the prenatals will provide all the vitamins that baby needs. And as for calories, little bean can just suck the fat off of you!
Just eat what you can and if you can eat high calorie stuff, then go for it. Are you taking meds this time around?
As for the sex thing, I really dunno. We didn't have sex the first trimester and the first time we did again, it wasn't comfortable and things were too tight. I think you are a cervix checker? So you'd be able to tell if something was off. I SERIOUSLY doubt you are having prolapse or anything like that. But if you are worried, you can always go find someone to check you out. They could take a peek up there for your peace of mind.

I didn't lose weight at first but I swear I ate less then that the first 3 months. I would eat 2 pieces of toast every night and be full....as for DTD, DH only got some 3 times my whole Pregnancy. At first he wanted it and I had no interest and the end it was the only way around, excpet he was scared....haha. I would say as long as your taking your vitamins and drinking plenty of water you'll be ok!

I barely touched food for about 7 weeks, I had the worst morning sickness imaginable. And Conner is healthy and perfectly on schedule So don't worry!

Thanks ladies it really does help to hear this!!!!
I have some anti-nausea meds--I'm not taking them because I really don't feel sick to my stomach, I feel like I have been on a boat to long LOL.

Yea I ditto the others. I didn't eat much at all during the first 3 months. And I had m/s too from week 6-11. And I really didn't eat alot... small meals of like toast and cheese and milk. Do your best!
And for the sex thing, I'm not sure. We've not stopped DTD since being preggo... there are times its tight and feels weird, but I made it through. And never had spotting from it. Hope it passes so you can get back to your normal DTD 2 x a day self LOL.

I don't have any experience with any of this obviously, lol but I agree that if you're getting in your prenatal (i typed out premartial ) then you should be okay so long as you're eating when you're actually hungry and not purposefully depriving yourself, ya know?

I've been eating far less throughout my entire pregnancy. I get full up so darn quickly and over-eating simply isn't worth it as I end up with indigestion, heartburn and feeling uncomfy for hours after. I say eat what you can and it sounds like you're eating good things. Try dry crackers for snacking on - they are still my lifesaver! I get hungry more frequently (which I know you're not), but just snacking occasionally helps keep me going.
You need to take your own advice chickie! You know you're doing just fine Ditto on the drinking heaps!
Can't comment on the DTD issue... our last DTD was May 9th
