So this is me being alittle hormonal but I wanted to share....

Last night, DH and I went to dinner with a few couples (friends) from his Guard unit. Everyone was asking me questions about my pregnancy and our plans for baby. Another couple with us was pregnant too, she's due in July. Then she announces they are expecting triplets! They used in vitro and this will their first baby(s). After that no one seemed to care that I was pregnant. I realize that no one is really as excited as me and DH about our baby. And I don't want to sound selfish. But it just kinda sucked that just because I'm only having one, suddenly it's not as special to everyone.

Okay, rant over. On a side note: I'm pumped that DH's friend is having triplets!

I understand where you're coming from, like she overtook the convo/excitement As nice as it is for them having triplets, it's just as exciting for you having your precious baby! I know you don't mean it in abad way, I'd have felt the same tho!

They couldn't possibly have been as excited as everyone here is anyway It's wonderful to have a child that you've wanted for so long, no matter if it's one or three...I bet the other couple understood that too because I bet they would have been as thrilled to have one as they are having triplets.

I would have felt a bit bummed out too!

Just think how much MORE bummed she is gonna be when she has 3x less sleep than you do (evil I know, I'm so glad I only had 1 at a time)

Aw Morgan I totally understand. I would be a little cranky that they stole my thunder too! It's perfectly understandable. Naturally you're excited for them... but it doesn't make your pregnancy any less exciting!

I am excited for you and downright terrified for your acquaintance! 3 at once--eekies! If I were her, I'd be downright jealous of you for only having a singleton.

You know what cheers me up? Reading about jerk-off husbands in DDCs. I mean, it isn't funny that their husband's act like boneheads, but it helps me feel better when I am upset to know that there are tons of irritating things out there, and at least I am not married to one of them! lol. I wonder if he could say the same thing about me?

Wow, that sounded bgitchy.
