Well I finally had my "2" week post-op follow up last night, now that I am over 4 weeks past the D&C. HAHA. I had two other appointments scheduled but they were both postponed due to the OB being in Labor & Delivery.

I was just so glad when I actually got past the waiting room yesterday! HAHA (The first time I found out he was in L&D right as I walked into the waiting room but the second time I was waiting for 1/2 hour right up until my appointment when he left, I was supposed to be next)

So it turns out I did pass everything on my own before the D&C after all. He didn't specifically say that the D&C wasn't needed but that is how it came across to me. **sigh** A bit frustrating since I was on the fence about the whole thing anyways. (For those of you who don't remember, I had talked with him on the phone the day after the visit with no heartbeat on the u/s and explained to him everything I had passed the night before and he told me that from what I was describing the worst had not yet happened and that he really recommended a D&C due to the amount of tissue he saw on the u/s the day before.)

In hind sight I probably should have asked for a followup u/s to see what was left but oh well. Lesson learned.

In an odd way it almost makes the pregnancy seem more real to me (in a good way I think?) that what I saw/held truly was what was growing inside of me. Also that I was able to pass everything naturally on my own (even if I still had the D&C).

So anyways that is how I am. Physically doing well and emotionally doing better than I expected. I am looking forward to getting back into the TTC game after letting my body heal. From my chart I think AF may be right around the corner so time is at least moving and not at a stand still.

I have my fingers crossed for a November or December baby.

I'm glad you're finding ways to put the m/c in the past as much as possible. It's not easy to TTC after a loss. But I have every hope that you will get another BFP, and go on to have a healthy baby. I'll be stalking you!!!
