Well, I just got back from my monthly appointment. Everything checked out ok. My blood pressure was 110/68. I got blood drawn for my quad screening and my ultrasound is scheduled for February 2nd. It's a high tech, genetic ultrasound due to the chance of my baby having Alpha One. I'm pretty excited about seeing the baby again and finding out the SEX!!!!! She had a hard time finding the heartbeat because the baby was moving around so much - but she finally landed on the baby and his/her heartbeat was 150. I've felt the baby move a couple of times the last week or so but it's still not kicks - just movements and twitches! I can't wait to feel a kick or a roll!!!
I asked her about my extreme anxiety attacks I was having at night. She knew immediately what the cause was - and I was really interested to find out! I had them with my pregnancy with Emma but my OB then didn't think much of it. Suggested getting more rest...lol. Doc today told me that it's an increase of Estrogen and Serotonin in my body due to the pregnancy. Some woman deal better with more estrogen, others have anxiety because your body doesn't deal well! She said it was your body's natural ability to deal with different situations, such as sleeping vs running from a bear! Basically, at night, my body has a hard time sorting out the different levels of estrogen/serotonin! I thought it was very interesting!
My birthday is on Saturday and so DH and I are gonna go to Ruths Chris Steakhouse! I am very excited because I am really enjoying food at this point in the pregnancy! I'll try to take a picture and post it later
