Anyone else really curious what baby will weigh when born?
BTDT moms, was your baby(s) about the same size as you and DH when YOU were born?
I was about 8.5 and DH was 7.8. I'm alittle worried our boy will be big (over 9)

I was in the 6lb range and DH was in the 8lb range. Taylor was 7lbs 13oz I'm guessing Rylie will be in the 7lb range too.

When I have my next child.. I'm sure he or she is going to be small.. Around 6 lbs. I will more then likely have gestational diabetes again so I want to make sure everything is in control..

Do women with gestational diabetes tend to have smaller babies?

I was 6lbs 9oz and DF says he was about 7lbs. So im thinking we too might have a small baby although both our parents were smokers with us which might explain the low birth weights.

Usually they will have bigger babies. Not always, though.
I was 5 lbs. 13 oz. Brant was over 6, but my MIL said he was a few weeks early & she think she probably had GD. Abby was 6 lbs. 14 oz. I'm predicting Joshua will be 7 lbs. 3 oz. I have no idea why, though!

I was 7 lb and something.
I'll have to ask my MIL what Dh was. I think he was a normal weight but his head was in the 99th percentile of largeness.
Hold me.

I was 6 12 or something and my hubby was almost 11 - wowza! DS was 6 7 and he was 3 almost 4 weeks early - can you imagine how big he would have been at full term. I had GD though and they fear babies getting too big for women with GD....I also had hypertension and they fear babies being too small....so I guess he was just right!

I was 8 lbs 1 oz, and DF was 7 lbs 13 oz or something like that. I guess I'm not that much of a help because I was induced both times...
Aden was 6 lbs 9 oz at 37 weeks exactly, nurses said she probably would have been 8 lbs at term.
Phin was 6 lbs 12 oz at exactly 38 weeks, he probably would have been about the same.

I think Ben was almost exactly where Jon & I both were. If I recall correctly, I was around 7lb 7oz and Jon was like 7lb 9oz or something close to that. Ben was 7lb 6.5oz at 4 days "overdue" and with me having gestational diabetes.

DH was 9lbs 10oz
I was 8lbs 1oz
The first time the nurse saw Reid's head during his birth, she said, "I can tell, you have at least a 9 pounder here!" lol.
Reid was 7lbs 14oz

I was 7lbs 8oz and born on my due date. Ian was 9lbs 3oz and was 2 weeks past his due date. We actually had the same exact due date one year apart!
Liam was 7lbs 5oz and almost 3 weeks early.
Lochlann was 8lbs 5oz and born on his due date.
Both boys have inherited my husband's big head genes. We call them our "walking candy apples." And just to help put your mind at ease Shannon, I tore minimally with Liam and hardly at all with Lochy. I think the perineal massage helped!

I was just asking Brant about this, and he doesn't think Joshua will be over 7 lbs. because he thinks I'm still small (what a sweetheart). But then when I thought about it, he is coming 9 days early, so maybe he'll be around what Abby was, weight-wise.

I was 8lbs 1oz dh was somewhere around 7 we arent sure
Seamus was 7lbs 9oz even though the u/s said he was over 9lbs so dont always trust u/s's.
My mom had big babies(shes only 5'3 3/4") I was 8lbs 1oz, my middle brother was 10lbs 11oz and youngest was 10lbs 3oz. I'm worried Kieran will be way larger then Seamus was.

DH was in the 7lb range I think, I was 6.4lbs (I was 31 days LATE also! But my mom smoked the entire pregnancy-they didn't know better yet). And we KNOW my mom's date was right. She was suppose to have surgery to remove her ovaries because she was having issues with them and since my dad was "sterile" (can't remember what for) and they couldn't have kids, they told her to go off the pill and as soon as she got her period they would do the surgery.....well she got knocked up instead that month.

Wow Angela you just barely made it didn't you!
And LMAO @ the "walking candy apples" comment! DF has a huge, square head and I was sooo worried that Phin was going to be the same hehe...turns out he looks like me though

I feared that too and the stuff they have online can scare the heck out of you.. That's when I learned not pay attention to what is online, I trusted my Endo and my OB Dr.. And in the end Adriana beat all the odds and she's still a peanut to this day.. I just know for my next pregnancy I'm going to eat healthy and stay away from the junk.. aka go back on the gestational diabetes diet..
