Ok, I normally don't use OPK's, but I got a bunch of good ones for cheap so I thought I would use them this cycle just to see what happened, and then use them again once DH is home.

I've been getting almost positive OPK's(but definitely not actual positives) since Thursday, and then yesterday morning got an obvious positive. So I tested again last night.....and the test line was basically gone. Is this normal? for it to disappear SO quickly? I mean, I know the LH surge is short, but for it to be sooo light? I'll try and get pics later, its dark right now and I can't get a good pic.

Here's the pic added:

I tested again this morning and teh OPK looked basically identical to last night's, there is a very faint line that doesn't show in the pic, but thats it.

I haven't ever got a positive then straight to negative. However my build up to positive was usually three times as long as my quick to clear was post positive was. Did that make since LOL?

I think it's possible, but I've never really kept using them until they were a negative. Was your urine quite dilute when you got the neg one?

no, I made sure I had held my urine for at least 2 hrs each time and try not to drink during that time frame, same deal in the mornings. Adding a pic to the first post.

I'm not sure either. I usually would stop testing after a positive, but I wouldn't rule it out entirely. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will come along and explain it all, though.

I'd normally stop testing after a positive, but I wanted to see how long the surge would last, lol

Yep, I think you definitely got a positive opk. I am the same way, I never test after I get a positive. I do know that LH has a really really short half life, so it's cleared out of your body fast.

I have a pretty small window with opks. I never got a pos before this month, but in less then 6 hours the pos was gone. So I think its normal.
