My DH decided to take a nap and didn't tell me. So he put his unopened can of rootbeer in the bathroom sink as a reward for waking up--and left the water running. FOUR hours later, I come down to check my computer and find him sleeping. I say, "How long you been asleep, dear?" "mumble mumble just a couple of minutes." Then I find the water running-- "um, dear? have you been sleeping all this time?!" (hangs head in shame) "allright, I guess it's been a couple of hours. etc, etc."

Arg! It seems no matter how many times I give him pep talks or lectures, or nag him, he still doesn't listen to me! There's less than 2 months left till he leaves work and the weekends are "his" time to make up his freelance work and to prove that he can be responsible about working for himself. And it seems every weekend he blows it! And this time it'll cost us more in lost revenue, we also have to pay for the wasted water! I am freaking out!!

Hugs! try not to worry, I am sure he will get better when his time frees up. I know my dh was the same way when he started to take a couple of his classes online. He would leave things to the last min. but he got out of that habit really quick when he realized his responsibility!

Oh Carolyn - I'm sorry that DH is acting like a little boy - that sucks...and I totally feel you. My DH lately sleeps all the time when he's around the house (not at work) - DS even told him to go to bed one night when we were reading him books and DH kept falling asleep on the floor - how embarrassing for your 2 1/2 year old to tell you to go to bed right. And he slept like 17 hours one 24 hour period - who does that....I think he has something medically wrong with him - but its still inappropriate esp when you have a son and a pregnant wife who need your help. If you married a little boy then I married an embryo HE HE HE!!!! Your not alone girl!

I hope he shapes up soon! I can understand needing a break at times, but you can only do that so much.

My Dh has been slacking and mostly just playing computer games on the weekends. I reminded him that we only have a limited number of weeks before baby gets here and he finally got to work on our sprinkler system again. (Finishing the sprinkler system and putting in a patio are his big to do projects.)

I hope he understands how hard it is to work for yourself and that he can't afford to be slacking off. You will need times for a break but not to that extent. Hope he gets it right soon.
