4 Months Today

My sweet baby Oliver is already 4 months old today. He is getting big and growing fast. Next Tuesday is his 4 month appointment. He doesn't have much hair left compared to when he was born. He has a patch on the top front of his head and the rest is very fine or rubbed off. We discovered yesterday that he laughs when his armpits are tickled. It's really cute. He is still waking up every 2-3 hours at night but I have learned to live with it and I'm actually not that tired. He is still in bed right next to me and that makes it easy for night time nursing. I just whip out the boob and let him eat and we both fall asleep right away. I'm up Mon-Fri at 6AM to get ready for work. Damon and I don't see eachother Mon, Tues, and, Wed except when handing Oliver over. Damon is doing a wonderful job at taking care of him during the day while I work. I'm so proud of him. However, I wish I could spend more time with Oliver during the week. I don't get that much time after work before we go to bed. There is always so much to do and about 1/2 of everything gets done with housework etc. I try to just let it go so I can spend time with him instead of running around cleaning. I have not started solids or cereal yet. I plan to hold off until he is 6 months old. So far I'm doing OKAY with pumping and having enough for him. I hope I can keep it up. Although there is always so much work to do and not enough time in the day motherhood so far is easier than I thought. I feel like we have found our flow and everything is going great. It all came natural to me and it seems like it did for Damon too.

I'm so happy to hear that the three of you have gotten the hang of it all! It sounds like you are all doing perfectly, and very happy. I can't believe how fast time passes.

Sounds like everything is going smoothly. Your body just adjusts to the sleep patterns hey? hehe. Sounds like mother hood suits you perfectly

Resi your posts just make me so happy to hear how in love you are with Oliver and how well everything is going. I'm glad you're giving yourself the 'ok' to let housework slide... you definitely won't hear Oliver or you complaining when you're older that 'you should have spent less time with him and more cleaning' ya know? And I'm glad Damon is doing such an excellent job as well! I'm just so happy for you all! Oliver is ADORABLE and getting SO big! He looks like Seamus in that second pic with those gorgeous eyes! He is seriously just too handsome! You guys made such a good looking son you just have to have another! hehehe

awe! time truly does fly! he is SO adorable and its great that you guys have found your flow after such a short time.

Oh I love the picture where his hair looks like one big curl! its very 1920's badboy....he needs that hair with a pair of jean and a white t-shirt on and a fake I love mommy tattoo on his arm!!!!

Resi, he is so adorable! I can't believe it's been 4 months already! I'm so glad you guys are adjusting to parenthood so well. I agree with Shannon, ya'll should have another for sure! Just imagine how adorable a little Resi would be!

it's funny how you adjust to the broken sleep - my baby isn't here yet but the bathroom trips are almost 2-4 hourly through the night now and it doesn't seem to affect me, i get up, go pee, and fall asleep again right away.

he's just gorgeous

Aw Resi, he's absolutely adorable!!! He does just keep getting cuter and cuter! And I love that little patch of hair he has! I'm so glad things are going so well for you all!!!
