Chris and I are headed to a wedding expo tomorrow! Woohoo! I gues it's never too early to start looking and planning.. even though I don't have a ring yet.. haha


We do have some sticky address labels printed out, and we are bringing lots of pens.. any other suggestions for the BTDT's?

Oh that sounds like fun! I always wanted to go to one...there is one coming to Georgia soon (probably the same one). Have a good time and get lots of freebie samples!!!

I took a camera to one of the ones I went to... I got to get some awesome shots of the displays (cakes, hair, dresses, etc) that way and it was easier to say "Oh yeah! I remember this-and-this hairdresser/decorator/bakery".

Yeah, it was way fun! And there were more girls there with cams than I thought there would be. Also, another fun thing to do is get your hair done (usually for free) by one of the hairdressers that are there. I got mine done by a really fun guy and LOVED it! I have pics somewhere. It was a fun experience!

Also you can sometimes "model" a dress or have all kinds of different cake samples. Take them up on this! It gives you ideas! And take all the samples/catalogs/newsletters/whatever they offer. I signed up for one of the sweepstakes and won a door prize of like $100 of Avon makeup! So it is totally worth it!

Camera, tons of labels, pens, paper, water and $$ for food! I love wedding expo's! we had all the girls go, each girl had a few sheets of labels...I had double entrys in all of the drawings haha!

Ok so we totally had a blast! I brought my camera but didnt take pics, I didnt have time! haha We got a ton of great info. Chris was trying to be all macho before we went in, but once we were in there he was a gentleman! It was so funny. I was expecting him to be like "ok can we leave now?" or "we just talked to a caterer, why do we need to talk to 10 more?" but he wasnt, he actually was like "oh hey we didnt go to this booth yet" It was really exciting to see him having a good time at a wedding expo.. who would have thought! He did get on my case about how early in the planning we are (we are thinking of Nov 2010) but once we started talking to people they were like "hey the earlier the better, you will have your pick of things!" There is usually a really big one in Boston every 6 months or so, I'll have to keep my eyes opened and I'll really try hard to take pics! haha
