Sorry I was MIA (added pics)

Hi ladies

I just got home from the hospital. I'll give you a quick version and then I have to update fully later. I had my baby girl on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2009 at 9:17am. She weighed 7lbs 1oz. Unfortunately I had complications and didn't get to go through naturally. I did make it to 10cm naturally and quickly without any meds but she would not descend so after about 4-6 hours of trying to get her to descend, the midwives broke my water and that sent everything spiralling downhill because the pain became excruciating and she still would not descend. I had to be taken to the hospital and she was delivered by C-Section. I came home today and am doing ok and recovering well. She's gorgeous (Mom's pride) and I'll post some pics once I get them downloaded from the camera.

Enjoy these first few weeks, they are priceless. I'm glad you are home and doing well. Can't wait to read the whole story.

Ccongratulations on your daughter! I'm sorry your birthing experience didn't go quite as you hoped but the important thing is you're both here and doing well now! And

for getting to a 10 without meds, etc.!

I can't wait to see pics.... I just know she's going to be GORGEOUS!

but the planned name was Amara? Is this what you settled on Mari?

Congrats, Mari! I'm so very happy for you and your husband. I can't wait to see pictures of your daughter. I'm sorry to hear about the c/s but as we both know sometimes tihngs don't turn out as planned. You did wonderful getting to 10 cm w/o any pain meds!
