I'm having my first ever gas pains. And I feel MISERABLE!!! OMG I've tried massaging my belly, taking Tums, and drinking ginger ale to burp it out.

Can anyone help?!

Eat a few saltine crackers or pretzels (any type of bland starch) and lay in fetal position on your left side. This makes it easiest to pass.

Gas pains are really the worst! I hope you feel better soon.

Laying in a warm bath on my left side always works wonders for me. I'm sorry, sweetie, I know how much it can hurt!

I don't have any advice but I can imagine how awful that must be and I hope it gets better quickly!

gas-x and lay on your left side! Peppermint hot tea helps, walking helps. Any HOT drink helps.

Well, I still have the pains this morning! It isn't as bad, but it hurts so much. I had called my OB yesterday evening to make sure everything was alright. Now I have to go to work with this stomach ache

I spent so much time on my left side last night. And my OB told me not to take GasX.

Try fizzy juice - something to encourage you to burp You should be able to burp it out then. I empathise. I had it at work when I was about 6 weeks, and OMG I thought was dying. It's so intensely painful.

I was extremely gassy during pregnancy and to be honest, nothing worked for me. Fortunately I was burping it out and not, pardon me, farting it out.

I had another soda today at work, and the kids were telling me how rude I was cause I kept burping! It got so bad I had to call the OB again. I've since taken Zantac and that's helped some. She told me to take a stool softener tonight.

Its one of those drugs you don't want to take all the time. Some providers say 2-3rd trimester occasional use with severe pain is ok though (just depends on the provider there).
