that's what I keep hearing, lol! Sometime this month he should be home! NATO does short deployments, so we're only dealing with around 5 months instead of the traditional Army 15....but yes, he should be home in the next month, as long as everything still happens the way it is supposed to.

We're NATO Signal, that may be the difference, lol, and mostly go to Afghanistan and Kosovo to do comms work. We only have like...250 guys total, including officers and all the office people who don't deploy. We're super small down here.

We reenlisted just before Christmas for 30 more months, I think it was...this was our last time reenlisting for a specific amount, next time we reenlist it will be indefinite, we hit 12 years at the end of this month. We at least got a bonus to make this a little less annoying, lol./

Ooo ok!! Thats pretty neat, 5 month deployments sounds awesome!!! Don't get me wrong any time apart blows BIG time but you kwim! I had no idea that you guys have been in for 12 years!! I'm glad you got a bonus, you too deserve it! Has he been deployed to all those places?

Chris is trying to get into drill school that way he wont deploy!!! We will be moving to GA when he gets back if it all works out.

Do you know what your going to wear for his home coming??

yeah, 5 months isn't bad! I'd much prefer to keep to these instead of the 12 month ones. He's spent time in Kosovo, Bosnia, Kuwait, and Afghanistan since he joined up, plus 2 tours in Korea. He'd been in for 7.5 years when we met, so it doesn't seem so long, but we are over the retirement hump and are over halfway there now.

We're considering drill school as well, lol!! We're really trying for a strategic unit after this, he's spent all but 2 years in deployable commands, and one of those years was AIT!

I have no idea for homecoming, I have like 6 different dresses or else I'll wear trousers and a cute top. It will depend on the weather that day plus what time he comes home, lol!

AND!!!!! I just got a call that he sent home everything that isn't going on the plane with him!!!! He's started outprocessing to come home, wooooooooooooooooooot!! It's still a while until he returns, but its going to be soon!!

Oh! That's great! I've never been apart from Scott more than a week since we met--so I don't know how I'd deal with him being gone 5 mos or even longer?!

Here's to getting some luvin'!! B)

omg Erin, he's ready to get out of there. He has worked literally every day of this deployment, never had one day off. Mostly he's ready for a new command and we are so close to leaving now!
