Ok, so I know that it can be normal, but I've never felt it before.. This morning when I checked my CM and CP I noticed a small bump on my cervix. I have had several abnormal paps in the past (I tested + for HPV 1 year ago), but my last 2 came back normal. How long should I wait until I call the dr? I was thinking if its not gone by the time I get home on sunday.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

TIA

I am not a nurse, but I think you should make an appt asap. Not that it is an emergency, but it makes sense to me to get it checked out right away. I have had abnormal paps before, and know a few gals who developed cervical cancer in their late 20s, so I don't mess around. In fact, I request they do an HPV test with every pap even though I am under the age of 30. The things you learn from young women that get cancer. It may most likely be nothing like you said, but if it were me I would worry until I got checked out. And if it is gone by the time you go to your appt, even better!

call when you have a moment and let them know (not an emergency). I have three bumps on my cervix that only show up during a part of my cycle (usually right before I O),....I have had them since I was in my younger 20's and actually found my cervix...I have had them looked at many times and its nothing but my normal anatomy. But until you are checked out you can't know....so its best to get it looked at.

Go get it checked. If it is something pre-cancerous/cancerous going on, pregnancy can make it much worse and complicated and vice versa for your pregnancy.

I went in to have the dr check it on weds.. yup went to the gyn on my birthday.. every womans wish! lol but everything was fine! it is one of those nabothian cysts.. but the np was impressed that I knew it could be normal.. she also told me as we were chatting that she used to work with the RE that I'm going to see next month, and again he got another "2 thumbs up" I am getting really excited about seeing him!

thanks for your input ladies!

Great news! I bet that is a relief. And double bonus for hearing more great things about your RE.
