I had an OB appt today. Still haven't gained any weight still at a -11lb loss from 6weeks preggo(lost about 20, gained 10 then lost another). My urine was very dark for some reason even though it doesn't seem like it is at home. They tested it no glucose, keytones or any of that jazz. But I'm spilling protein, only +1 for now, but this is way sooner then I did with Seamus. My BP was pretty ok so they don't seem too worried about the protein just yet. I go back in 2 weeks and should start my NST's then or the week after.

I was boderline GD with Lily and started spilling protein in my urine around 37 weeks. With this pregnancy, they monitored my potential GD a lot sooner and again I was borderline. Protein started showing up in my urine at 32 weeks, but my BP has been ok so no induction unless something changes.

It sounds like they are doing a great job of watching you and I hope things hold steady until baby is ready to arrive!

They never watched protein for GD reasons with Seamus. They don't usually check for protein in my office unless theres a reason too(funny looking pee, high bp) they only check my urine for bladder infections on a biweekly visit. This is actually the first protein check I had with this pregnancy jsut cause my pee looked funny{the doctors nurse was actually mad another nurse for running the check on my urine she as like "You made sure she has insurance to pay for that right?!" old bitty[same stupid nurse I had to see last time, I hate her, have never liked her the whole 6yrs I've gone to this practice]}

I had really really bad BP at the end with Seamus, with severe blinding headaches(bp upto 151/110), but never spilled protein till they were inducing for the GD. I was very swollen after he was born, you couldnt' tell my legs, ankes or feet apart.

And I'm full blown GD so I have to be induced(on insulin already have been for a month). Not long now thankfully.

I'm still pretty upset with the u/s issues. With Seamus I had one every other week for the last 2months to watch for size, placenta and fluids because they can all have issues wight GD(also watching for breathing sense lung development is slower in GD babies) and they said I'd be lucky to have 1 u/s before she's born. Shes already measuring big, her movements have changed and its scary to only feel her 5x's a day when it was 5x's per hour up till Monday then a sudden change. Its not safe with the GD to not be having BPP's so I'm hoping sense I'm seeing the newer doc in the practice on the 4th of March that he'll do something, hes always seemed to be alittle more proactive then the one doc I've seen the last 2 visits this month(who ironically was the doc that had me have all the u/s's with Seamus)

Oh Justine - I do hope your little girl stays in there safe and sound a bit longer. Sounds like you got good docs though. I have both high blood pressure and GD also so I feel your pain. I never spilled protein with DS but at 35 weeks my BP was up and I went on modified bed rest until 36 1/2 weeks or and was induced then. My GD never became that huge of a problem ( no insulin only oral meds). This time the GD is acting up more and I"m about to go on insulin - hoping to stay off it though....I'm surprised they are going to wait to do NST's. They've already decided to start me on them at like 30 weeks?

I hope the new doctor is more proactive. And I hate how insurance is considered an issue--this is you and your baby girl's life we are talking about!

Hang in there Justine, only 50 more days!
