Around 7:30 last night I randomly started throwing up (around 6 i had some water and something to eat cause i was feeling yucky) and couldn't stop (after being fine all day). By 9:30 i started having really bad contractions and by 10, after i had 8 contractions, DH rushed me to the hospital. The hospital is only 8 minutes away and i managed another 2 contractions in the car.
They checked me in and got me all hooked up to monitors and what not and I ended up passing out at one point. They rehydrated me with 3 liters of fluids (the first 2 didn't even make me pee! That's how dehydrated i was) and gave me phenergen and zofran to control the vomiting and once i started having contractions in the 120's, they gave me turbutaline. I was only a finger tip dialited and still feeling baby move, so everything was ok. I didnt have a fever or anything at the hospital so they told me it wasn't the flu and i was just very dehydrated.
By 4am, I was peachy and we went home.
By noon today, I was running a fever and now I have the flu
I have not had the flu since i was 8 and no one around me has the flu. Just my luck I never get the flu.

Wow! Sounds like a crazy night! I'm glad you are ok now, other than having the flu! That sucks! I hope you feel better soon.

Thansk ladies :-)
I am already starting to feel better today. I think it was that 24 hour stomach virus thingy that my DH had last month or something. I was told I need to sloooow down even more! (ugh) so I can only do 4 day, 8 hour shifts at work. Meh!
