I just found the most wonderful thing to do with Oliver's outgrown baby clothes. Have a quilt made out of them! They are already very sentimental to me and this seems just perfect. Plus, if we do have another baby in the future I can buy new clothes and have another one made. I think it will be a nice thing to hand down to him as an adult. The price is reasonable too.

Very cute idea!
I take so much joy in putting Dustin in Curtis' little outfits though hehe. I'd maybe have one made after I was done having kids and then keep it for myself haha.

One of my friends did that with her baby clothes.. But I can't bare to cut Adriana's baby clothes up, some of them are expensive too, like Janie and Jack and pumpkin patch.. Maybe many years down the road.. But it is a cute idea..

That is a cute idea. However, I'm all about selling mine at the secondhand store for some Moola! Actually - my sister has two girls (3 and 4 1/2) and just had a baby boy - now I'm having a baby girl and have a 3 year old boy so we're swapping - worked out perfect!

That is cute! But...I could make it for free I guess the price is reasonable if you don't know how to sew though.

Great idea! I'll most likely give a lot of Amara's stuff away to a charity/foundation/church but it would be neat to keep a few pieces to make a quilt.

I don't know how to sew! Actually it's kind of expensive to get one made but it's worth it to me. I'm going to use my favorite outfits and wait until he is around 1 yrs old to send them in.

Well wouldn't that be the perfect reason to break out the dusty sewing machine! I can't wait to have baby clothes to cut up!
Related story but not quite the same... My stepmom has a memory blanket made of scraps of her mom's old clothes. Each of the kids got a quilt after she passed away (I believe my stepmom's sister made them all but I could be mistaken). I thought it was a great idea.

I've seen those before and think it's adorable! It'd be worth learning how to really sew to do that for me, I think! So much cheaper!
I noticed your new username too and it actually made me kind of sad to not see it as just "Resi" anymore. But I'm glad there aren't very many Oliver's around so that at least it's just as original as 'Resi' was

This is a great idea. I'm actually going to sew my own. Since the boys are sharing clothes, they are going to each have a piece of each outfit they shared.

Great idea! I wanted to do that with some of my dad's cloths when he died but my mom had cleared out the closet faster then I got to it.
