I am so excited for you to get married in Vegas!!! Ask me all the questions you can think of!!! Ok off the top of my head here is some advice...

1. I know you said Sept 26, but if that date really has no meaning to you, I would consider a weekday!! It is cheaper and easier to get a place to be married, and hotel accommodation is also tons cheaper!! I got married on a Tuesday!!

2. Get married at a hotel, they have great packages, some include a limo ride to get your marriage license!! We got married at the Mandalay Bay Hotel!! It was beautiful, and the package came with Flowers, photography, champagne, a wedding video and more that I just can't think of!! It was so worth it, they take care of everything!!

3. I know August is very hot there, but if you can stand the heat go there then!!! It is not a peak tourist month because it gets so hot so hotels are almost giving away rooms!!! We stayed in a Suite at "the hotel at Mandalay bay" for very cheap, cheaper than a regular room elswhere!!!

4. Get your photographer to go with you to the Bellagio, they have this amazing glass ceiling that is awesome for pictures, and the Bellagio water show is awesome for pictures as well!!!

I am going to include some pictures so that you can see what the place looks like where we got married, it was amazing!!!

This is outside the Chapel we got married at...

This is on the grounds of the hotel....

so is this one....

These are some random ones so you can see the chapel and how amazing our photographer was.....

Anyways you get the idea...here a the only 2 I have on photobucket of the place we had our reception

You can look on my facebook account as well, I have tons of the reception pictures on there

Another cute idea that we did, was to give personalized Poker Chips as our wedding favors!! They were a hit because they were unique, and it was easy for people to pack in there luggage!!!

Awww! Thanks so much Morgan!! Im retarted I never even thought of doing it on a weekday, everyone always gets married on Saturdays and I was thinking thats when we should do it! But duh! Its Las Vegas not a church!! So I will definitely be changing the date to a weekday! Your dress is SO cute, it is so close to what I want!

If August is that much cheaper, we may go then too. But I remember when we were in Las Vegas at the end of September almost October a few years ago and it was HOT! So I cant even imagine how hot it will be in August!

I will definitely be looking into getting married at the actual hotel, I was looking into different types of things like Valley of Fire (its really cool and different-you can look it up online if you wanna see what im talking about. But if the hotel offers that many things I will look into that for sure.

The poker chips as favors is a really cool idea, but I think were doing a REALLY small wedding and either no reception at all, or one when we get home because not very many family members are going to be able to pay to come out there. But Jason also mentioned us just paying for who we want to be there the most (obviously not extended family, just close moms and dads, sisters and brothers, my grandma etc) since we will be saving so much on our wedding by doing it in Las Vegas we should be able to pay for them. But then again, I want a really really small intimate day. And I want to be able to go out with my sis and friends afterward and if we brought family we would kind of have to entertain them (since we wont be doing a reception there).

I dont know this may all change but that is where we are at now.

Okay onto my questions!

How many days before the actual wedding did you get there? We were wanting to get there just a day or two before, and then spend the rest of the time (a week or so) just relaxing and not stressing about a wedding. I like that idea better than getting there a week early and stressing about the wedding for the whole week. But there may be things we need to do that we may need more than a day or two to get straightened out.

Is there a waiting period to get your marriage license? Or do you get it right then and there?

Do you recommend any hair/make-up salons? I was looking at your pics on myspace and it looks like your sis did your guys' hair? So you may not know of any....

What did you do with your dress? Was is all wrinkly when you got there? Ive heard some people say they shipped their dress over before hand to someone who steamed it for them.

I was just looking at your pics, it looks like you had a ton of family come! How did you do that? Did they all pay for themselves to come? This sounds retarted but its true, with the economy like it is now, I dont know how many members of my family will be able to afford that!

Was that photographer included in your wedding package? I want to find a photographer who is willing to go all over the strip with us and take candid pictures all over! I think it would be so fun and thats the kinds of pics I want instead of the usual posed wedding pictures. Especially since its Las Vegas! I want pictures everywhere!

Thank you for all of your information so far!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking into the valley of fire, but there were some restrictions on it if I rememer correctly, like it was unavailable for weddings n the hot hot summer, I don't remember exacly though!! I aso looked into getting married at one of the golf courses, but the are expensive, and accomadate like 300 people, s it didn't make sense for us!!

I go there on a sunday and the wedding was on he tuesday!! You need a full dat atleast to get your marriage certificae!! There is no waiting period for yur marriage certificate, just ake sure you have the proper ID...birth cirtificate and drivers license!! It takes like 10 minutes once you get to the Clark County Couthouse!!

Ya m sister is a hair stylist, so she did everyones hair and makeup, so I don't have really any great advise for that!! I know the hotels have amazing salons though!!

I took my dress on the plane with me!! They have a place up fron gor things like that!! It was kind wrinkley, so I put it in the bathroom, turned the hot water sower on all the way and closed the door...it steamed it perfectly!!

We had 50 people ome with us!! It was awesome!! Eeryoe payed for themselves!! I made it really easy for them though, I went to the travel agent and we picked the hotel, and flight(everyone was flying out of the same airport) and then told everyone when it was!!! They had to put a $100 deposit down to old there spot and they could pay it off a little bit each month!! Now, if you have people fying ot of different airports that may be more difficult!!

The photograper was included in our package, but, would only do photo's, for an hour in the package!! We had to pay for extra!!! We were lucky enough that our bes man is an aspiring photographer so he took al of our pictures at the ceremony and such!!!

oh I just wanted to through out what i did for favors because its kind of vegas like. We had small clear envelopes with a lottery scratch card (a specific CO one since we married in CO) with a penny from the year we got married in it. Then a sticker that sealed the envelope said "lucky in love" with our date and names on it. We had a few winners so it was fun!

Morg I LOVE YOUR PICTURES! That wedding dress looks beautiful on you! I like te pic of the grooms party jumping in the air, it looked like fun and the photographer is GOOD for catching them ALL in the air! DH is handsome. You two look gorgeous together!

Angela I like your idea!

DF and I planned on making our own wine and putting them in mini wine bottles for favors. We havent priced it out yet, but if its too expensive, then I'll have to think of something else.

BTW I 2nd the Bellagio, its super beautiful.
