Can this be for real? Do you see what I see?
I'm so confused and so worried at the same time.. I'm not to sure if you know this, but I haven't had my period since Dec of last year.. For some reason AF didn't come in January.. I did call my OB and they were reluctant of doing a blood test on me. They said the other the counter pregnancy test kits are vary accurate. I insisted and said that I work and mix Chemotherapy medications almost everyday.. I did take the test, but when I looked up my results it came back negative.. I even had one of my Pharmacists look at it and she said negative too.. Well another month passes and still not AF.. So I tested today just to make sure and I see a faint line.. I'm praying that I got pregnant this month instead of last month.. By the grace of God, I've only mixed Chemo 2 days out of this month..
Edit:
I'm calling my OB Clinic to see if the blood test I took was negative.. I'm praying that it was..
***Update: 3.9.09
I took another HPT (different lot number then the first) and I got a better result.. I think Jessie was right, the test strip must have been backwards on the first test I did.
New test taken 3.9.09

That sure looks positive! Congrats! I really hope you just got preggo. When will the doctor call you back or see you to see how far along you are? Please keep us posted!

There is no doubt about it that you have a BFP. I'm guessing that it's some what new because it's not super super dark. I'm hoping it's a new BFP. Congrats!

Thank you.. The nurse should be calling me back sometime today.. I just want to hear them say my first blood test was negative.. When I speak to the nurse, I'm going to schedule my first appointment and hopefully that will be on March 9th..
It just seems so crazy for me.. The month we don't even try to have a baby, is the month I get pregnant.. The Lord works in mysterious ways..
btw.. I'll be joining you in the GD club.. I have a feeling I'll be diagnosed early..

That is a nice pink BFP, but it is slightly faint- so I would guess that you are more 'newly' preggo! CONGRATS!

Thank you ladies for all the positive responses..
I'm vary happy right now.. When I stopped having my period, I was thinking menopause was coming.. I was trying to stay positive and put it all in God's hands.. And He surprised me with another great gift, when it was least expected.. This will more then likely be my last pregnancy and I'm going to enjoy to my fullest, gestational diabetes and all.. Hopefully after this, menopause will start, but I have feeling I won't be that lucky.. lol

Lurking from the main board....it's hard to tell but to me it looks like the faint line is the control line and the dark line is the test line?
Congrats!

Oh, yea you know what now that you mention that, I do see that the test is upside down and the darker line is the test line and the lighter line is the control line. You may be farther along then! The only times I have ever seen the test line darker than the control line is when my sis was 6wks pregnant!

When I did the test, I noticed that too.. It caught me off graud, the dark line came out first before the lighter line.. Maybe this was a faulty test or maybe it's was manufactured backwards.. Wouldn't both lines be dark if I was farther along? The light line is vary faint.. I had a hard time taking a picture of it..
I'm still waiting for the OB office to call me back..

No if you were farther along both lines would not be darker. The dye comes from the same place, so if the "test" part of the test is taking up most of the dye there is not going to be much left for the control line. It definitely looks like your futher along then just 4wks or so.

Thanks for the information..
Wouldn't you think the blood test would have picked something up? Or could it have been to early? I did the test on Feb 9th.. Ugh.. This wait is killing me.. I wish they would call me back.. :/

OMG, I'm so happy for you! I think you are definitively newly preggo, your test looks just like mine did yesterday (10 dpo). I bet we are going to be due at nearly the same time!!!!
ETA: Hmmm, I dont know why that first line is so dark. Either you are quite a bit further along (but then the blood test should have showed something on Feb 9th) or the test strip is backwards (which Ive never heard of). Do you have another test you can try?

Yes, the blood test should have shown something so you probably werent pregnant at the time that was taken. When was your blood test? Your test looks EXACTLY like my sisters test at 6wks the control line gets lighter as the test line gets darker and takes up all the dye.

I took the test on Feb 9th.. But I looked up my own results and I had a pharmacist look as well and it said negative. I'm waiting to confirm it with the nurse, since they never called me back with the results..

Thank you.. I sure hope your right about the test.. When I did the test the dark line showed up first and then the light line slowly appeared.. It will be vary exciting to be due around the same time as you.. But I will more then likely be induced a week early due to gestational diabetes.. But it will be fun to see our little one grow together..
