How's it going? Anything going on in your life you want to talk about?
I am kinda today. We went on our birth center tour Monday night, and I hid behind Dustin the entire first half of the tour trying not to hyperventilate. Needless to say, it's time to start my hypnobabies coursework. The second half of the tour went well enough though and we like the place.
Hmmm, what else? My SIL and MIL have kind of taken over my baby shower planning. My mom is still involved though, but I am nervous b/c it is now being held at our new house in our big backyard. I am not paying to rent a tent! I wonder if I could get a jumping castle . . .
I am getting huge and uncomfy. It took us 2 hours to have sex the other day, and not because I was having the time of my life over and over again, but b/c I can do no positions. Missionary is so out, doggy didn't work b/c my hands still hurt from all the work we are doing on the house. Me on top, yeah *$%# right, its like my legs don’t know what to do with the extra weight on my belly, I can't even keep balance. Then DH tried prying my legs over his shoulders or some crap like that and I almost tooted up a storm I was laughing so hard and yet in so much pain at the same time. I have no flexibility. I could get more graphic explaining why the other positions don't work but I probably shouldn't.
I talked with my doula and now we have an understanding about that so I sent her a check. Oh and we need a new mattress asap, I am having a hard time picking one though. Any suggestions?

Let me recommend side lying sex with him behind you, it works PERFECTLY for us. The only other position we use is doggy which is my favorite but always has been
Anyway- I'm doing ok but I'm SOOOOOO beyond ready to have Rylie here. I'm exhausted, in so much physical pain (I seriously cry throughout most of the night due to pelvic pain, UGH) the skin on my tummy hurts, and my cervix is killing me.. it feels like she could just fall right out. Taylor's popping teeth in all over the place so she's been a little grumpier then usual. I could continue venting but my precious daughter has just pooed and also needs a bath because she just had her lunch and it's everywhere LoL. Which now reminds me I have to go up the stairs for the millionth time today, BAH! Can't I just

Only 2 weeks Lisa!
We did end up using the position you said and it worked pretty well. Actually, DH liked it a lot but I miss all the old positions. If only our bed was taller.
Aimee, Serta is the brand with the sheep, right?

I agree with Lisa Nic and I used the "lying on our sides with him behind me" position and it worked well...I didnt feel AS huge.
And I'm doing pretty well...tired of course. Nic goes back to work on Friday And that leaves me all alone with the nighttime feedings, I'm pretty much terrified.

Huge DITTO!!!
Also what worked for us at the end was being on the couch--kind of a modified doggy with me kneeling on the couch facing the back cushions and my arms resting/gripping the top/back of the couch. It was great because it was a perfect height for us, I wasn't putting tons of pressure on my hands like regular doggie, and I could get pretty good leverage. ETA: This actually sent us into false labor 6 days before Lochy was born! LOL
As far as how I'm doing--BLAH! I've been highly emotional the past couple days--just really angry and sad at the same time. The stresses of life have caught up with me and I'm going off the deep end! And to boot it's March now which makes 6 months and no BFP yet. Just feeling very down. Trying to forget about it all though and just relax!

Side lying sex really worked for us... plus DH used this lovely little vibrator that we bought at Hustler Hollywood. It is not penis-shaped, it is just a little nubby thing with a silicone casing. It bends any way you want it to and is great for DH to reach-around with when on the side-lying position! DEFINITELY worth the $25! Toys like that are awesome for preggo sex!
Also, we found that with a little adjustment, we could still do doggy style. Instead of holding yourself up completely with your hands, which does hurt when preggo and heavier... bend forward more and use your forearms for support, while still keeping your backside up like regular doggy position. It takes a lot of the pressure off of your hands/arms, keeps you from getting the dizzies, and really hits a nice spot!
And if you-on-top doesn't work anymore, modify that by having your DH sit "indian style" and having you straddle him. That way he can help you move more and all the 'pressure' isn't on you. mmhmm. Anyway, I don't want to directly link to the sites here (for obvious reasons!) but Google "pregnant sex positions". There are a crapload of AWESOME websites devoted to positions that work WITH the belly, not against it!
Ok, now that I am done being Sex Doctor I will answer the OP.
I am doing pretty well considering where I am stuck. I have another ultrasound on Friday, along with another pelvic exam and some other testing. If the u/s shows that my amniotic fluid level has stayed the same, and there is no dilation or signs of fluid in the vagina, we may get to actually GO HOME! I would of course be on strict bedrest there, but it is better than being in the hossy! My doc says that it is very rare and he has not seen it in a long while, but a woman can "reseal" after having PPROM. So... YAY! We are just hoping that the tests come back normal and good so we can get the heck outta here! Plus we would have a much better chance of keeping Alice in until maybe even close to full term!

DH and I have had sex less than a handful of times this whole pregnancy. It's really not that great for me because honestly I don't feel sexy anymore. I'm looking forward to sex after baby! So I don't have great advice on that.
The latest thing on my mind... why the hell am I drooling so much when I sleep? haha I've heard pregnant women have mroe saliva, but my pillow is getting soaked! I'll have to buy a new one when baby comes.

at the sex positions- took some notes to try some positions soon!
And for me- I'm doing good. Getting more tired latey than I've been since 1st trimester! And I'm in nesting mode now, got our co-sleeper yesterday and put it together today. All the baby clothes are washed and inside our pack and play. Need to get that liner paper stuff for the dresser to put all her onsies, blankets, socks, bibs, and hats away! And I have all her dresses and outfits washed and on hangers and they are all on the pack and play waiting to go in her closet. Oh and I LOVE LOVE Dreft!!! Mmmmmm smells so good! I'm waiting for DH to put the swing and stroller and together. I washed the material on the swing already I'm on bi-weekly midwife appts for 1 more appt, next week- at 35 weeks, then I go weekly from 36-40+. I'm declining all internal exams until after my due date. I'm on final week of Home Study of Hypnobabies and love it!! Its so relaxing!! I'm really excited for the birth!!! I know its prob crazy, but I can't wait to experience it all!!! And I can't wait to nurse!!! I've been dreaming of it!
That is about it! Great thread to see how everyone is doing- thanks for posting Michelle!

Wow, taking mental notes on the preggo sex positions!
I'm alright. Still SUPER tired! I usually work out regularly (4-5 times a week), but mid-week last week I started slacking since I was so tired, but it only seemed to make me MORE tired! So I forced myself the last two nights to exercise and I actually feel like I have more energy. Funny how that works. I tried The Perfect Pregnancy Workout for the first time yesterday and WOW! It's probably the hardest dvd workout I've ever done! WTH is that about?! lol. It was a really good workout, though. I think it'll work out great since there isn't a lot of balancing required, which most of my other "regular" workout dvd's require. I feel bad for DH - and myself, somewhat (I'm too tired to care all that much, honestly). We've only DTD once since I got a BFP! It's not that I don't want to, it's that by the time everything else is all said and done I'm either so freakin' tired that there is just NO way, or I'm hormonally crazy and feeling gross and just don't want to. He hasn't said a word to me (bless his heart), but I still feel bad. I don't want to like force myself either, kwim? If I didn't have to go to stupid work and could nap during the day this wouldn't be an issue! The last million weekends have been so busy that they've been a bust as well. Can't things just slow down a little! hahaha.

Well my hands finally stopped shaking. I still don't feel like this is really happening!
I skipped going to the gym last night so tonight will be the first night back.....I just started a whole new workout that I have to give up. That part sucks but I guess I can just cycle and keep my HR down.

Reid is fussing so I don't have time to read everyones, but I have to LOL at Michelle's comment about "legs not knowing what to do" in regards to being on top. Just wait until you are 39 weeks and see what your legs can't do We tried me on top when I was 39 weeks and nothing has ever felt to WRONG! haha.

Michelle, you are HILARIOUS!!!
I'm doing great and enjoying motherhood. Amara has decided that she would stay up all day and only catnap (her night sleeping is still good). She did it on Sunday, a part of Monday (we went out so that may be why) and today. I spent most of the day trying to see if I could get her to do a long sleep because I figured as a young baby she needs to sleep more. I don't know how people do it with babies who stay awake constantly. I really had a good lesson in patience from this because she's never done anything like this and I was going crazy with worry.
