Okay, so I thought I was losing my mucous plug...but it's not "clear & gelatinous." It's brownish, thick and mucous-y looking. I haven't had sex in ages or any internal exams so I know it's not from that, and it doesn't look like blood. It's not green so I don't think it's meconium...anyone have an idea of what it is? And do I need to call my dr./L & D?

I was able to get in touch w/ the nurse of the OB on call (my dr.'s not in today). She said it was my plug but as long as I'm not contracting every 5 min. I'm fine. If that happens I'm to go to L & D right away. Being that we're far from the hospital & this is my 2nd pregnancy, I'd probably consider going in sooner if I have regular cx that aren't as close together if they are the real thing.

Yes, they will still do the c-sec. if I go into labor on my own, which I am so thankful for. I cannot fathom risking any more damage to my girlie parts. I guess the exception would be if I went into labor too quickly but hopefully that won't happen.

I'm hoping I can still make it to the 18th. I am going to put my shopping stuff away, take a nap and then hopefully try to get some things taken care of. Then I will call Brant to give him an update.
