I haven't been on as much lately because I've been working at the boys' preschool as a substitute teacher. With all the sickness going around, they've been calling me pretty frequently. : I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit, except when they put me in with the 2s. Nine 2-year-olds can wear you out really quickly!
I don't know if all of you know, but Zack was diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) last August. The day before Alyssa was born, lol. That was a crazy week! He was denied state funded therapy because California is in a bit of a budget crisis an is only approving those who are considered "severely disabled." Zack is not. We figured we'd just pay for his schooling out of pocket & put him on the waiting list. HA! We got in only to discover that it costs a whopping $3000 a month! Yeah, not going to happen. So, we're now pursuing biomedical treatments for him (Jenny McCarthy style). His first appt is this Friday. The consultation itself costs $195 and that doesn't include any of the treatments. It's not covered by insurance. Oh my!
Ethan is still a wild child & my cuddle bug. Such a strange combination, I know....
Alyssa is growing so quickly that I almost, for a second, want another baby! Then my brain kicks in and kicks my own ***. She's a little doll baby and I can't believe that I never wanted a girl! God knew what he was doing when he gave me my Lyssa girl! She is starting to get quite the personality. If the boys take a toy away from her--watch out! She will start screaming and flailing her arms and kicking her legs, tantrum style! She's only 7 months old! I'm terrified of what she'll be like when she's 2! The joys of a girl, lol. She takes after me for sure. She knows what she wants and she wants it NOW! She gets bored super easily and wants to be entertained constantly. Luckily, watching her brothers wrestling with each other is her favorite form of entertainment. Since that's pretty much an all-day thing, it makes my job easier, lol. I do wish though, that I had more time to devote to her. I remember taking the boys for hour-long walks every day and I've never done that with her, not once. It's just too big of a chore with those wild boys of mine!
Dh and I have been doing much better than we were. We always go thru an adjustment period after each kid is born and about 1-2 weeks ago, we hit a climax where it was really bad! But lately it's been so much better. I can tell he's really been working hard at being a good husband, and it's been awesome! We're totally in love. I no longer have to wake up each morning and tell myself "I AM going to love my husband today." It just comes naturally again. I think that has a lot to do with my baby fever as well. (((UGH, someone please kick me in the head a few times)))
Okay, gotta go. Love you girls!

PDD-NOS. He's most similar to Asperger's, but since he doesn't have a single obsession that he has vast knowledge of, the psychologist said she couldn't diagnose him with AS, so he got the PDD-NOS dx.
I added pix of Alyssa.

I'm glad things are going well for you! Alyssa is as cute as ever! I hope you can get some help for Zack with the treatments and everything. Before the boys I worked as an early intervention teacher and a lot of my kids were on the autism spectrum--most PDD-NOS. There are great things to try these days and I hope you find something that works for him!!!

Alyssa is so stinkin adorable! I want to squash her!
I hope the treatments can help Zach out. That's too bad the state won't help you out, but it is awesome to get a disagnosis so you know what you can do to help him thrive!
As for TTC again in the future, I say go for another!
