I had a little pain tonight... lasted about 20 minutes. Best way to describe it is right side, under ribcage area- similar to a heartburn ache or a quick shocking back pain that I felt when I inhaled deep. I layed on my left side and was drinking water and I felt baby move and the pain just disappeared. But now I'm curious. I googled and found nothing. I was doing nothing to bring it on, I was actually sitting up straight too.

So for you who have been there and felt that or any of the great nurses here, what do you think?

TIA girls

I had alll sorts of weird pains as I got further along, so I'm not sure. Most of the time I was feeling gas pains, or miss Elsa kicking my ribs, or just digging her feet into my ribs. I know it used to really hurt if I bent over, and I could feel her dig into my ribs. Could that be it??

hmmm I thought maybe it was that... but I've felt her feet up in my rib area and I sit up straight and it goes away... this was different than that. It was only achy when I inhaled deeply and it was like a burning- kinda like if you get a back pain that feels like a quick burning... just like that.

She could have been pressing on something that she hadn't before or that you haven't noticed before. I always had so many different pains when I was that far along. Liam especially loved to stretch out in there. His favorite position was to have his back to the front of my belly with his legs tucked underneath him and his big ol' butt in my upper ribs--then he'd just push out. It didn't matter what position I was in, it HURT! I can't tell you how many times I had to physically push his butt out of my ribs just in order to catch my breath.

Could be gas, could be baby position, could be your gall bladder. Did you eat anything fatty right before the onset?

As a rule of thumb, if it isnt something that is bothering you regularly, dont worry about it.

Anna I had pain like you describe for the last few months of my pregnancy.... Kirsty's butt was up where my pain was. And it ached with some shooty type pains. Gosh I don't miss that pain!! If you are worried at all though, call for reassurance.

It sounds pretty normal. I got so many weird pains that sound like yours, and I'd call my doctor each time he told me its just the baby getting bigger! But if it is really bothering you you should definitely call your doctor!! Hope every things ok ((Hugs))!!!

I didn't have any pains like that but from what you're describing it sounds like the pains a lot of pregnant persons have described to me.

Thanks girls... it only lasted about 20 mins and I've felt fine since... I do get the jabs up in the ribs, but this was more burning like.

I wonder if my lungs were being kicked??? Cuz it was only when I inhaled deeply. And I didn't have anything fatty- a slice of pizza, but it wasn't greasy- Anyways... thanks
