The past two nights have been rough. Oliver had his arms and legs going almost non-stop all night long. I was getting kicked and slapped around. I'm not sure if he was sleeping or awake. I think he was half asleep & half awake. It's hard to tell because I don't dare turn on any lights to see if his eyes are open or closed. Last night it was driving me nuts because I was already so tired from the night before. I was getting frusterated.
Normally he sleeps with little movement and only makes a little noise when he is ready to nurse 2-3 times per night. I'm more than fine with the 2-3 nursing sessions per night because I know he is hungry and we fall back to sleep while nursing. I still get plenty of rest. But, if this non-stop kicking, turning, and waving little arms continue I'm not fine with it. I might have to try to get him to sleep in his crib or his pack n play next to my bed.
I'm thinking maybe it's a growth spurt, teething, or maybe a couple bad nights. We never had this problem before. Any advise on what can be going on?

I have no idea. Maybe it's one of the things your suggested. I hope he settles back down so you can get some rest.

sounds like a growth spurt thing... I think you should check in with a LLL leader, at least call one if you can't make a meeting- that is something discussed at meetings!

Gosh, I don't know. Reid has never done this. It sounds like it might be a fluke, just a couple of bad nights.

Landen has been more active in his sleep too. He rolls a lot, and scoots downward.
I hope you get some sleep tonight!!!

I hate to say it but it might just be him getting more active. Lochlann used to lay so nicely and for a while now he's all over the place. Most nights he completely turns himself around, drapes himself over me, kicks me and Ian in the face/stomach, and it just an all around ball of energy. Last night was a particularly bad night with that but it could also be because I had Liam on the other side of me which never happens--I think he was sleep walking.
I do hope its just a fluke and he sleeps a little more calm for you, I know how tiring it is!

Was he crying at all, Resi?
Ben is a crazy wild sleeper, I ALWAYS find him in different spots at night, there is no way we could cosleep...none of us would ever get any sleep with him thrashing as he does!

No. He didn't cry that I remember. Maybe a little fuss for a second or two but no real crying. So far tonight seems to be better. Of course now I can't fall asleep so I'm up on here.

I haven't slept in MONTHS!!!!! haha, Cambria Is teething in the worst way. She doesn't flap around cause I swaddle her but she doesn't go back to bed at night when she wakes crying cause of her teeth. It takes me 1-3 hours to get her to go back to bed. It drives me nut's!!!!! Plus she rarely nap's during the day.....I think he might be just getting more active but the teething will be coming soon if not starting now...Im sorry, I hope you get some sleep soon though.

hope its a fluke. But then my DH does that also! LOL some people are just active sleepers. I put up a pillow wall between us now that I have been smacked in the stomach enough. I wake up in the same position I fall asleep in.

Yeah, Ben has had some seriously rough nights because of teething, so that's why I asked if he was crying. I think if it were something bothering him, he'd probably be crying, but that'd just be a guess. When Ben is teething, he wakes up absolutely SCREAMING his little head off and is very difficult to console.

Last night was back to normal! Most have been a couple restless nights before. Boy oh boy.. I can hardly wait for the teething to begin. It sounds like I won't be getting much sleep. I think it might be starting because he likes to always chew on something. The drooling is out of control too.
