Oliver started reaching out a week ago. It's so cute. If I reach out my arms he reaches back for me and smiles real big.

He is already going to be turning 6 months old in less than two weeks. I plan on giving him his first solid food at this time. I skipped cereals all together. Over the weekend I made a batch of sweet potato baby food. This weekend I'm going to make peas. I'm freezing it for when he is ready. I'm going to make fresh sweet potatoes on his 6 month birthday and video tape me feeding them to him for the first time. I'm also going to be taking him to get his 6 month pictures done. The place I'm taking him to is going to have a baby lamb and bunny for spring pictures. I ordered him a organic sweater outfit that is green with a bunny on it for the pictures. I'm sure they will turn out really cute. I'll make sure to scan them and post them when we get them back.

Today I saw a pregnant lady a couple houses down going to get her mail and I was jealous. Ever since the weather has been warming up some it makes me nostalgic for my pregnancy. It was such an amazing experience. I use to think women that missed being pregnant so soon after having a baby were ... I don't know what word I want to use. But, I understand it now. I'm not saying I want another baby anytime soon because I'm enjoying Oliver but I miss being pregnant.

I just got him to sleep and I'm hoping tonight goes better than the last two nights!!

awwww I love the reaching! I've been watching my BFFs girl do that the last month or so So sweet!!!

And I soooo enjoy being pregnant!!! I can't wait to have our baby girl here, but I know I will miss being pregnant too!! But I do miss wearing my regular clothes, and being able to sleep and roll over without moaning and making noises!!! But I can imagine what you are feeling!!!!

Can't wait to see Oliver's 6 month pics I know they will be sooo cute!

Maybe I missed it, but why did you change your name from Olivers Mommy (I remeber you saying you liked seeing it) back to Resi? I like them both

When the new JM switched over it went back to Resi because it was my username. I think I'm just going to keep it as Resi because I used my first name on here for over 3 years and it was strange seeing the Oliver's Mommy. I liked it but I'm more use to my name and so is everyone else.

Aw that's so sweet! I can't wait to see his 6 month pictures! We started with sweet potatos too when Lochlann turned 6 months--did not go over well. LOL He was a good month getting used to solid food and now he'll eat anything--new favorite is salami and garlic dill pickles!

I totally know the feeling of missing being pregnant. It's funny because as anxious as you are for your baby to get here once they're out you miss them being in. I can't wait to be pregnant again! I don't even care if its as rough as my last one was.

Wow! Six months already?

I'm so excited to see pictures of his first solids!!

Are you using "recipes" for your baby food, or just steaming and pureeing? I look at www.wholesomebabyfood.com sometimes and they have some really cool combinations on there! I haven't heard of too many people on here making their own baby food, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes for you since I plan on going that route myself.
