Just a quick update!

I had my 35 wk midwife appt today, and it went great! I'm up 30 lbs from my start weight of 125 lbs! My BP was great and normal at 100/68. Heartbeat was in the 140-150ish range. My next appt is in 2 wks at 37 wks, then I go every week for 38, 39, and 40. I scheduled all my appts too as they book up quick. My midwife also asked me what I'm doing to help soften my cervix... I said... "uhhhh"... then she recommended I start drinking red raspberry leaf tea and primrose oil starting at week 36 (next week) and doing a Mon-Wed-Friday regime with it. She has a favorite little homeopathic/breastfeeding shoppe she recommended where they will mix and make the tea for me in Ann Arbor -abou 20 minutes from us- (where Universiy of Michigan is for you non- Michiganders-cute city with lots of fun shops and such). So DH and I are going this weekend... she also recommended a baby boutique, which we'll stop in to see but this baby girl needs nothing! We might stop in and buy something U of M ish for baby girl (funny thing is DH went to MSU- but he loves U of M more ) And there is a Whole Foods down the street which I love so we'll be shopping there too for some veggies and fruits. She also said next week baby could come and she'd be fine with it, but she wants her to cook another 2-3 wks minimum. I have had a couple stronger BH's- and they are different then they've been over the last 10 wks or so, feel like period cramps that last a minute or 2 and my belly gets super tight then it passes. I told her about that burning feeling I had the other night and she said baby is just running out of room.

Oh and for you BFing mamas- anyone who uses Lanolin, the purple bottle from BRU (is where I bought mine) my midwife said to stop using it cuz it has pesticides in it!!! She said the shop we're going to for the tea and primrose oil sells a very organic one, so I'll be returning mine, hopefully, and getting the organic one.

Also she was feeling my belly and measured me at 33 cm. She said my uterus is nice and tight and she couldn't feel where her head is, so she grabbed the u/s machine to check and my baby girl is head down and pretty low she said. The last couple days I feel like she is lower, and I find myself walking with a wobble and I can't run (I tried to run, or jog kinda, my shopping cart back to the shopping cart area and had to walk ) We didn't get u/s pics, or really to see her body, just her beautiful head It was such a pretty head

DH and I also spoke wth Mary my midwife about the birth center I'll be delivering at, and I asked if my water breaks if I could still labor in the jacuzzi tub in the room, and she said once I've progressed some and am having regular contrax Yea!!! She is an amazing midwife!! She asked about my doula, and I told her she is a student who's completed all her classes and workshops but needs her last couple births to get certified and she is very happy. Said she loves when there is a doula to help support DH and me

I think that is it.

Here is todays belly pic- I was 35 weeks yesterday- and this Saturday have 30 days till my "guess date". DH thinks she'll come on April 16th, and I say the 17th I had a "talk" with her and told her the 17th would be great cuz its a Friday! We are sooooo close now!!! And I have sooooooo much to do still!!!

(sorry this ended up being longer than I thought it would be! Thanks for reading!

Here is 32 weeks in the green sweater and 35 weeks in the pink top:

How exciting, you are so close to the big day just like I am!!!! That's interesting about the red rasberry leaf tea and primrose oil....I'm still debating whether I myself will take something to gear up for labor. You look beautiful, and seem to be doing great......YAY April is almost here!!!!

Sounds like a great appointment!!! I did the red raspberry leaf tea and EPO toward the end too and it did help soften my cervix a bunch.

You look great too! I can't wait to read your birth story and see your baby girl!!!

let me know What red raspberry leaf tea you get and EPO AND nipple cream!!!!! My midwife wants me starting on 34 weeks, and since everything takes forever for me to get I will need to start looking sooner than later! Interesting on the lanolin I had never heard that before.

I never got the Lanolin stuff because I knew it wasn't good. I already told you about the Earth Mama, Angel Baby Nipple Butter I used. I liked it a lot and it's organic and all natural. I never had to use much and have a lot left in my little jar. Whole Foods by me carries it.

You look great and you are sooo close!

I really enjoy reading updates

I think it's just so wild that so many of us are close to delivery! You look wonderful. Is everyone telling you, you look small as well?

Morgan I love reading updates too

Yea I hear I look small alot... but when I explain how my torso is pretty long, and I still am measuring 33 cm as everyone else in my DDC is too- and how my baby is spread out in my uterus longer up and down rather than outwards then they lay off. It does get irritating, but its ok. My FIL drives me crazy and thinks I have a 2 or 3 lb baby in me now, and I'm like no, she's about 5 lbs probably- and he says oh no your not. I can't talk to him. Sorry for the small rant!
