Great pictures...

I laughed at the one picture about the rice.. That's all I ate when I visited the Philippines, so many choices and colors.. lol And I remember the little scooter thingies..

I don't remember the Philippines looking so run down, but then again I was only in Manila and Ilo Ilo , it's been many years since I've been there..

Manila doesn't look run down at all! (a couple areas but thats every big city) But we live in a poor area...our downtown is actually very nice for the area. I will have to get some normal pictures of the area up, and a few decorative Jeepnys!
Its really poor in this part....we rarely carry more then $20 (worth of pesos), and I don't wear really any jewelry (not that I normally do but I even take off my necklaces here!). The crime is pretty high in this area also---since we got here about 8 people have been shot within a few blocks of our hotel. And last weekend the boys went out and sawed off shot guns were pulled during a bar argument. (thats kind of why we go out of town on the weekends)

holy crap thats scary about the guns! Glad you are being safe.

I'm going through the pics now... snorkeling looks so fun. What are the marks on Troys? arms? and what happened to his foot??

The tiger safari is sooo cool... I would be sooo scared with the tigers that close... were they growling and making noises for the chicken???

And I don't know why.. but the last 2 albums won't open for me... says "oops nothing to see here"

I just updated the sites so it should work again. The marks on troy's body is from the pod of baby jelly fish we swam into that day! He had a bad reaction to his stings. I only had one little red dot. HAHAHA even though we both got over 50 stings....I have been stung before so my body was used to it. His wasn't. Then the DAY BEFORE we went snorkeling troy was drinking on the beach and got up to take a picture and was looking through the camera and not paying attention to where he was going and slamed his foot into something---he broke his pinkie toe. The safari was pretty cool especially because I was in the seat that they feed the tigers in! So I was actually getting snot on me because I was SO close. I had to back up a little to get pictures even.
