Chellerenee, BRU question

Hey Michelle, I have a Babies R Us question for you...

I got some Carter's onesies at my shower that I am not crazy about. I'm pretty sure they are carried at BRU. But they are not on my registry since I didn't register for any clothes and no one at my shower included any gift receipts.

Will BRU take these back and give me store credit? Or will they not do it since I don't have a receipt, plus they aren't on my registry?

I received some things from BRU that I didn't register for and I was given a store credit! You'll get whatever the price is when you take them back.

Um not to thread jack but Michelle I have a BRU questions also----I heard they have classes for some things----what classes and where can I get more info?

Bumping...and also Angela, I think it may vary from store to store on which classes they have, but I'm not 100% sure. I know ours has a newborn care class given by a local pedi, a class on breastfeeding basics, a time you can come by and get your carseat checked, and maybe a couple others. They have calendars in the store with the events, but I bet if you called a specific store they could tell you what they have and when.

Well, as far as the return policy, technically, they aren't supposed to take them back without a receipt or if they aren't on your registry. The return policy changed in August of last year. But, I know alot of times, they will go ahead and do it anyways. It really just depends on the manager. You may have to argue a little to get them to do it. At my store, they usually only do it for the people who get mad.

As for the classes, all the stores are supposed to have them. Like Shannon said, they have ones for breastfeeding, ABCs of daily care, nurture by nature, soothing your baby, help your baby sleep, car seat safety, and a few others. They are all free. You can call a specific BRU and ask, or they also have info on the website...here are the ones coming up for April

You are supposed to sign up for them at whichever store you plan on going to. You can do that in the store or you can call them as well.
