Okay so I've seen carriers discussed all over the boards....but I still can't find the info I really care about. I was reading reviews online and I saw a review about a small petite woman who was upset with the fit of her carrier because of her size. I can't remember if it was Ergo or not. I am leaning toward an Ergo (I want to stay away from the sling.wrap types and stick with the soft structured types) and I want to be sure that an Ergo is a good fitting carrier for a short, small gal like myself. I'm about 5 foot 2. Jess and anyone else with Ergo or other structured carrier experience I'd like to know what the best carriers are for little gals. I think I read that Becco (or something like that) is a good fit for small women?

Thanks ladies!

Another good place to ask is the Attachment parenting board---all most all of those women use carriers! Good luck on your search.

PM username Sweater Cannons. She is teensy like you, and is an AP mama, so she could probably tell you the pros and cons of the different carriers. She is on the Autism board & Christian Parenting board, and probably others, but those are the 2 I've seen her on....

Angela my boobs are enormous (especially now!) and I've never had a problem with the Ergo

I can't say anything about the petite thing, I'm 5'7", but the only thing that *might* bother you on the ergo is that the straps are kinda big. I don't think it would be a problem fitting you though because they are very adjustable.

No, big boobs won't be an issue with the Ergo. It would be a problem with a Bjorn-type carrier, but not an Ergo or mei tai.

The Ergo Baby Carrier - FAQs

I found this site! It answers my question and Angela's!!! It appears that it should work for both my size and big boobies! It says that it is designed for people over 5 1 at least and with hips small as 28 inches....my hips are not smaller than that I can assure you! I guess it's like anything - just get it try it and if you don't like it return it. Almost all of them have money back guarantees. I think I'm going to go for it!!! I'm excited.
