To stop Breastfeeding....Ive been try and trying everything to continue but My body is just done....Cambria was Exclusivley BF till she was 6 month's after that I still nursed on demand and pumped to bottle feed. At that time I started Introducing Formula little by little. Ive Benn taking 12 Fenugreek and day and eating Oatmeal everyday since January to try and Increase my supply since It has never been good. She hasn't nursed from me In about a month and am now out of my freezer supply. In the last week Ive barely been able to pump 1 bottle a day. So I think It's safe to say my time has come to an end. Im ok with It...I know Ive done my best and she's been very healthy since. She's Never had a cold, fever, Diareaha, Rash, anything....It'll just be weird not having to pump everyday..For those who know do you think Ill get engorged at all? I rarely ever was and haven't been since December. I dont know what to expect??

I am sorry that it wasn't on your terms (or I guess Cambria's I should say) but I think you gave it a great shot and you did really wonderfully! You did something so amazing for her
I didn't work on my supply but I had the same thing happen where it dwindled away. I intruduced formula and didn't pump or anything so I slowly just adjusted ya know? Anyways I had one night where I didn't nurse at all as I was out with James. I didn't nurse for the whole day, whole night, and then the next day. I didn't wake up engorged and that's what really made me realize that my supply was dwindling. So I never had engorgement or any discomfort.. it just sorta stopped.

You probably will not have engorgement issues since you don't get much anymore. If you do cold cabbage leaves placed under the bra should help.
And you know what Good for you for EBF for 6 months---thats my first main goal! And you kept Bf till 9 months---feel proud honey!

You probably will not feel engorged at all but in case you do, cool cabbage leaves feel wonderful as does a quick breast massage in a warm shower. Awesome job for going as long as you did, mama - you rock!!

Have you tried having someone else give her the bottle? Vivi won't take one from me, she thrashes about and roots for my breast, but she takes a bottle just fine from Lee or anyone else.

Amy, seriously, you have done an amazing job sticking with this for as long as you have. Lots of people would have thrown in the towel (myself included, probably!), so kudos to you!!!

 Sorry!
I bf'ed for almost 3 years, quit cold turkey and neer got engorged at all. Try varying nipples to ease the gagging bit. Brayden used the old school playtext ones and that's the only ones he could use. We tried everything from avent to dr browns and even preemie nipples.

Amy, You did a fantastic job at breastfeeding Cambria. Many Moms would have given up a long time ago if they had the same troubles with BF. You did wonderful! I can understand how it can be bittersweet for you.

You did an awesome job! Don't feel bad. You went through a lot more trouble to keep your supply going than most women would.
