Anyone else have bad hemorrhoids when pregnant?

I've been having loose stools for about a week now, so I know I'm not straining. Do you think it's just all the added pelvic pressure? Oh and do you think it's true that alot of women have much looser stools towards the end of their pregnancy? Like to start getting rid of extra fluids?

I have an OB appointment tomorrow and really want to ask.

Hemorrhoids are VERY common in pregnancy. From constipation, from pelvic pressure, from increase blood flow to that area. I know tons and tons of women who have gotten them while pregnant and several that actually needed treatment (as strong as surgery) to get rid of them after pregnancy.

Loose stools at the end of pregnancy is a common sign of pre-labor and/or just some other hormonal shift. Usually the body doesn't dump water at the end, its more common to start swelling from extra water. Since you have had it so long make sure you tell your provider-and keep drinking tons of fluids! You don't want to get dehydrated....that could cause you to go into labor.

I did not have them but I had very runny #2's towards the end of my pregnancy. I read that placing raw potato slice's on the area help with hemorrhoid pain.

to Angela. I suffered with them prior to pregnancy but surprisingly they didn't really bother me during or nearing the end of my pregnancy.

I don't know if you all know what Witch Hazel is but that greatly helps with hemorrhoid pain. You just put some on a cotton ball and put them on the hemorrhoid for a few minutes. It's very soothing and it helps shrink the veins as well.
