My boss is going to talk with me tomorrow about having Wednesdays off. I over heard him talking with my co-worker early this week about it. He said he didn't have a problem with it but something about me just working 4 days at 8 hrs per day. I had asked to work 4 - 10 hr days or close to it. I have to convience him that I need to work a hour longer each day to get all my work projects done. Other wise I will be pushing it with my work load. But, the main thing is I can't afford to lose 8 hrs of pay each week. I can handle a 4 hr pay loss but it will be a stretch for us. I know it will be more than worth it in the end. I will update you tomorrow. The good thing is my boss usually doesn't say no. I just have to make it sound like I NEED to have the hours to continue to do a great job.

Good luck! I don't see why he would want to have your hours cut. You're full time right now, it's just changing things around a bit. Seems completely logical.

I'm so upset. He said NO to everything. He just causualy said he can't let me work 4 days and he for sure could not let me work extended hours. I think my co-worker has something to do with it. I KNOW I over heard him tell her early this week he had no problem with it. I think she told him she did. He always asks for her/our imput on this stuff. He said if he did it for me then other people would want the same. I'm trying to hold in the tears. I had my hope WAY up. Damon already had to change his schedule to work Wednesday during the day because other wise we will lose our health insurance. I told my boss I'm going to have to look for another job if I can't work 4 days. I told him I had no other choice. He asked if I would give notice and I said yes. He said he would check again and get back to me. Then we got interupted because someone came into his office.
The problem is I know I'm not going to be able to find another job making the same amount of money is this ecomony. I don't want to have to look and I feel like it's hopeless. I almost wish I would just get fired so I can get unemployement which I know is awful to say or think. I just want to go home and cry.
To top it off Oliver is getting sick. He has had a cough the past couple days and isn't sleeping well. It's taken way longer (like 3 hours) to get him to fall asleep at night. I'm tired from the lack of sleep this week.
I was so excited and positive that I signed up us for a story time starting in May on Wednesdays.

Oh hun I'm sooooo sorry to hear this! Did you plan on quitting if he said no or was that a spur of the moment idea?
